MERIDEN, Kan. from www.wibw.com — An adult entertainment business is open in Jefferson County, following concerns. The Oasis Saloon, on K-4 Highway in Meriden openedlast Thursday.
That follows a settlement in a lawsuit, filed by the club’s owners, after Jefferson County commissioners denied a permit for the business. The owner of the club, Zachary Snyder, says it is legal for his establishment to be up and running.
“We will continue to run a legal, legitimate business as we have from day one,” says Snyder.
Right now, the saloon is bring your own beer. But, Synder says he has applied for a liquor license. He also plans to operate the establishment as a restaurant.
Some in Jefferson County are indifferent about the club opening, and others oppose it.
