HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – from www.kdvr.com – A rock climbing instructor from Highlands Ranch faces charges of Obscenity and Unlawful Sexual Contact in a case involving an underage female student, authorities said.
Morgan Huston, 29, was taken into custody on Thursday by members of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit. He was booked and released after posting $2,000 bond.
Huston has worked as a rock climbing instructor at Eastridge Recreational Center for the past five years.
“The victim was a female under the age of 18 and attended Huston’s instructional class on climbing,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
The investigation began earlier this week when a Douglas County School District counselor contacted a school resource officer about the alleged crime, investigators said.
Huston is not an employee of the school district.
