from www.washingtonexaminer.com – On this day, Dec. 9, in 1981, porn star John Holmes was charged with in a Hollywood quadruple murder.
Holmes got in trouble with some drug dealers known as Wonderland Gang, and to escape harm, tipped them off to a stash of money and drugs at the house of cocaine kingpin and nightclub owner Eddie Nash, just down the street from the home of then-Gov. Jerry Brown.
The Wonderland Gang tied up Nash and his bodyguard and stole money, drugs and jewelry.
Nash suspected Holmes and forced him to exact revenge.
On July 1, 1981, four gang members were fatally bludgeoned with a lead pipe.
Holmes was captured in Florida six months later, but was acquitted of the murders. He died of AIDS six years later.
