Couple arrested after adult video store robbery

Wyoming- from www.trib.com – Two Casper residents are facing aggravated robbery charges after police said they robbed a local adult video store at gunpoint Tuesday night.

Antoine D. Miller and Casey Bingemer were taken into custody at a West Yellowstone Highway hotel early Wednesday morning.

They are accused of walking into the Emporium Video Exchange on East F Street about 9:10 p.m. Tuesday and pulling a pistol on a clerk.

The clerk told authorities that a man pointed a weapon at his head and said, “Don’t move or I will f—— blow your brains out,” according to an arrest affidavit from the case.

Meanwhile, a female who was with the man went to a drawer and pulled $400 in cash out of it. The culprits then fled, police say.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The owner of the store, after reviewing video of the incident, told authorities she believed the woman involved in the robbery was Bingemer. The owner claimed to have recognized Bingemer because she had previously worked at the business and, in fact, been fired about a month earlier for “not doing her job,” the affidavit states.

Authorities learned that Bingemer had been living at the Sage & Sand Motel since Dec. 15. Officers set up surveillance at the motel.

After obtaining a warrant, police tried to enter the room where Bingemer was allegedly staying. Miller and Bingemer refused to open the door, though, and there was a short standoff, authorities say.

Miller, who was inside the room, eventually told authorities to come in. At that point, Miller and Bingemer were taken into custody without incident.

Authorities searched the room and recovered a bag containing $400, as well as a semiautomatic BB gun matching the description of the weapon used in the robbery, according to court documents.

Methamphetamine paraphernalia was also found in the room, police say.

Neither Bingemer nor Miller admitted to committing the robbery during subsequent interviews, authorities say.

They made their initial appearances in Natrona County Circuit Court on Wednesday. They are both charged with aggravated robbery, conspiracy and felony methamphetamine possession.

If convicted, they each face the possibility of more than 50 years in prison.

Miller’s bond was set at $50,000, while Bingemer’s was set at $15,000.

They will each have preliminary hearings in coming weeks when a judge will decide if enough evidence exists for them to stand trial.

They remained in the Natrona County Detention Center on Wednesday evening.
