PHILADELPHIA— Adult entertainment blog PopPorn.com has announced that award-winning adult cocksman James Deen has signed on to host their coverage of the 2012 AVN Awards Red Carpet. Typically hosted by PopPorn’s own Spock Buckton, for the 2012 awards the blog opted for a change after Buckton was possibly arrested on fraud charges stemming from a check cashing operation just outside of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Currently incarcerated somewhere offshore (i.e. renditioned), Buckton gave his blessing to Deen via satellite call early yesterday. Editor-in-chief Brian Bangs had this to say: “We’re thrilled to have James host our coverage. We’ve been covering the awards since 2008 or 2009 and as far as we can tell we’ve never had James host them for us. So that’s nice.”

James Deen said of the engagement, “It may be the worst idea ever to surround a dude with social anxiety with bright lights and lots of people, then ask him to do interviews…but it will at least be really funny.”

Set for Saturday, January 21, the 2012 AVN Awards will be held at the luxurious Hard Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
