PRINCETON, Ind. From www.theindychannel.com – The Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission has suspended the law license of a southwestern Indiana attorney who pleaded guilty last year to possessing child pornography and obstructing justice.
The Princeton Daily Clarion reported that the Indiana Court of Appeals also upheld a Gibson County judge’s ruling involving a voyeurism charge filed against William R. Wallace III of Princeton.
Wallace agreed in his October plea deal to plead guilty to the voyeurism charge if the appeals court upheld the local judge’s ruling.
His plea agreement calls for Wallace’s sentence on the voyeurism charge to run concurrently with Wallace’s child porn possession and obstruction of justice convictions that netted him a 90-day home detention sentence and 458 days of probation.
Police began investigating Wallace in 2010 after a female client accused him of having sex with her to pay off a $550 debt for legal work in a civil case.
Charges in that matter were dropped in a plea deal in which he admitted to the child pornography that police found while searching his computer.
Wallace had been a candidate for county prosecutor when news of the investigation broke.

The Princeton Daily Clarion reported the female client objected during Tuesday’s court hearing to Wallace getting no jail time. She told the judge that Wallace betrayed the trust of his clients.
Special prosecutor Jonathan Parkhurst said that Wallace will be monitored while on probation.
Wallace had been a candidate for county prosecutor when news of the investigation broke.
