Porn Valley- Tory Lane from L.A. Direct Models was on the Sports Swami Show Friday. Lane was described as some diamond in the rough with Swami stating that Lane had entered, “retired”, then re-entered the business. Lane said she didn’t have any emotional problems nor was she abused prompting her to come into the business. “I’m not that way,” she laughed. “I’m comfortable with myself. I started dancing when I was 20- got comfortable with that, got to know a couple of people. I decided if I was going to do it, I was going to do it the right way. Obviously it’s here in L.A. And with me being here in Florida I had to pick up an agent, obviously. I chose the best one and began working two months ago.”
Lame mentioned that her girlfriend Harmony also joined her in the industry and is also with L.A. Direct. “She did the research for the agencies and stuff,” said Lane. “He has a lot of girls and continuous work. If you’re going to do it, do it right. Make some money. It’s a business. That’s how I look at it. And from the business end of it, this agency seems to be the one to benefit me the most.”
Swami mentioned that Lane had been booked to be on the show awhile back but all of a sudden “retired”. Swami said he had heard a rumor that Lane was pregnant. “No! I wasn’t pregnant,” Lane exclaimed. “It was a little bit of family issues, a little bit of everything. I didn’t know when I first came out there how the industry worked. I learned. And when I left I said I wasn’t going to do it any more. Then I thought about it, then I thought I could do this. I literally woke up one morning and changed my mind.” Lane was at least honest enough to state that she’s only 21 and doesn’t know who she is yet. “But I know I like to have fun.”
Swami was trying to make a case for Lane resembling Mila Kunis from That ’70s Show. “You look almost identical- it’s scary. The two of you have that sexy, exotic look to you but wholesome.” Lane didn’t seem to pick up on it, so that conversational gambit was dropped for the man-in-the-life aspect. Lane said there was someone. “I love him,” she said. “And he loves me. I made it clear to him that this is who I am and what I want to do. He’s still my boyfriend and I don’t go off with these people after work. I look it as work and I was willing to leave my relationship to pursue who I am and do what I want to do. I was going to leave him but he said he loves me and he wants to be with me and accept it.” Lane said she’s taking baby steps with her career and doesn’t want to go overboard. “I want to take my time and have fun. And the money’s great. That has a big part to do with it.”
Lane said she loves L.A. and feels that the people out here are more open-minded towards the crazier side. “That’s the way that I am.” Lane said she pretty much came out to L.A. on a whim. “My girlfriend Harmony was dancing with me. I just started waitressing at Hooters. I met her there and we got an apartment together. One night we did an amateur contest-thing at a strip club. We did it and started making money dancing. That was all fine. That’s the way I met my boyfriend and she met up with a guy who knew Peter North. She came out here first to do a scene with him. She came back and told me all about it. And that’s how she met Derrick as well.” With that, Lane said she talked to him on the phone. “He picked me up at the airport.”
Lane said she wasn’t shocked her first day on a porn set but has come to realize that the shoots are completely different. “You’ve got to be able to walk in there open-minded,” she says. “You work for Wicked, then you work for gonzos. They’re all different things.” If given the choice to do gonzo or a movie where there might be acting involved, Lane, said, given the fact that they both pay the same, she would prefer something with acting. “But I am new in the game so everyone’s being a good coach to me.” But, at the same, time, Lane said, being wild, she wouldn’t mind doing gonzo, either. “The hours are long but it pays well. And it’s fun. I’m having my cake and eating it too.”
Lane said her boyfriend was very open-minded about her career. “He’s the general manager of three porn stores in S. Florida. He’s not total square-minded. He’s cool.” Swami threw all these romantic options and possibilities at Lane: “How do you separate you being the porn performer from the wholesome girl from Florida who’s parents raised her well?” Lane said she’s never been in the situation to have romantic flings with celebrities so she couldn’t answer that. “I’ve only been doing this two months and I’ve been working, working, working,” she said. “And when I’m not working I’m hanging out with the girls.” Lane said she knows her family is there for her but she comes to L.A. to get away. “I’m a whore- sometimes,” she laughs.
Lane said she’s in the process of developing a website that should be ready in September.
