Porn Valley- So far there have been two Steve Austin’s in porn. But the third- the most famous Austin of all- Stone Cold Steve Austin has just entered the porn ring by virture of dating a porn star. And if a verdict in a trial goes against him, Stone Cold could be looking at a finishing hold worth $10 million.
Earlier this year, Stone Cold Steve (Steven Williams) allegedly assaulted his porno/ erotic actress girlfriend Tess Broussard during a dispute at the grappler’s Texas home, according to the San Antonio Police Department report. Broussard, 37, told cops that she met with the athlete to discuss the couple’s troubled year-long relationship. But Williams became irritable and yelled at Broussard, “I’m tired of talking about this shit. Shut up!”
Broussard claimed that Williams then grabbed her, and she began struggling with the 6′ 3″ wrestler, who eventually threw her to the ground. Broussard landed on her hands and knees, and later told officers she had injured her right hand. Broussard provided a written statement to the cops. This is not the first time Stone Cold has been accused of injuring a woman outside the ring. In November 2002, he pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of assault for striking his then-wife Debra Williams during an argument. He was fined $1000, sentenced to a year’s probation, and ordered to perform 80 hours of community service and attend a domestic violence counseling course.
The latest round for Stone Cold, the ideal candidate for anger management apparently, took place earlier this month at a restaurant in Beverly Hills when he and Broussard were supposedly coming to terms with their Punch & Judy relationship with Austin, reportedly going to give her $1.5 million go away money. In an interview with the L.A. Times, Austin said he had to get out of the relationship with Broussard who came to live with him in San Antonio. According to Austin’s account, Broussard had joined him in Los Angeles where he’s currently shooting a re-make of the Burt Reynold’s movie The Longest Yard. The game plan called for Stone Cold to have dinner with Broussard then fork over the check in exchange for Broussard’s agreeing to drop an assault and personal injury suit against him stemming from the incident earlier this year.
According to the newspaper account, Austin’s business manager George Vrabeck, was going to serve as witness to the transaction. Austin and Broussard had dinner at Mastro’s, a steak house, after which they walked over to another restaurant where they would meet Vrabeck who had brought the check with him. Vrabeck was supposedly accompanied by a security guard. What happened next is a scenario straight out of the mind of Vince McMahon. Austin’s account of things is that Broussard, wanting to stay in the relationship, suddenly changed her mind and decided against accepting the money. Vrabeck’s account is that Broussard, grabbing a steak knife, went for Austin in an attempt to stab him. But Vrabeck, attempting to ward off the blow to Austin, got it in his left arm. Meanwhile Vrabeck’s security guard apparently handcuffed Broussard to a chair.
Broussard, who filed a $10 million lawsuit last week over the incident, tells it differently. She claims she was lured to the restaurant with Austin and Vrabeck fabricating the assault with Vabrick hamming it up to lend the impression that there was a major melee in progress. According to Broussard whose suit calls for punitive damages, Austin was also driving drunk last year when his truck hit a tree causing serious physical injury to Broussard and alleged permament disability. Also, according to Broussard, in the restaurant scuffle, the security guard, besides handcuffing her, swore that he saw Brousard stab Vrabeck. Broussard said she didn’t stab anyone and claims it’s all a frame-up that it was payback from Stone Cold for not dropping the original personal injury suit plus threats from Broussard that she would go to the tabloids with her story.
When Beverly Hills police arrived on the scene at the restaurant, Broussard was taken to jail and charged with assault with a deadly weapon for which she could get four years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Broussard was released the next day on $30,000 bail and is due in court Sept. 1 on those charges.
