from www.carsonnow.org – Those of us who live here are used to getting questions about brothels, especially the Moonlite BunnyRanch, which is usually described as being in or just outside Carson City.
Those questions have escalated greatly since “Pimpmaster General” Dennis Hof took over the place and broke with the unspoken Nevada brothel code to keep a low profile. On the contrary, Hof searches out publicity like a heat-seeking missile, quick to seek any venue where he can put himself and his ladies into the spotlight.
Nothing has created more buzz for Hof and the BunnyRanch than the HBO reality series ‘Cathouse,” which gives viewers an inside look into the BunnyRanch world.
All of this publicity has helped the BunnyRanch supplant the Mustang Ranch as the most recognized legal Nevada Brothel.
But now it seems the Mustang Ranch is fighting back, getting its own reality show on HDNet.
The show, called “Mustang Ranch: Labor of Love” will begin airing on May 10, and follow the daily activities of owner Lance Gilman and Madam Susan Austin [pictured].
So, will there be a brothel reality TV war now?
HDNet was launched in 2001 by successful entrepreneur Mark Cuban, owner of the NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks. It’s programming has a particularly wide range. It features in-depth news from former CBS News veteran Dan Rather, as well as live concerts and MMA bouts. But it’s also diving deeper into the sex and party world, with shows like Girls Gone Wild, Bikini Barber Shop, Deadline Unrated, Guys Night In and Drinking Made Easy.
