from www.onenewsnow.com – A media watchdog organization is “outraged” that the porn industry is working to place its “footprint” everywhere it can in America.
For example, scenes for a 90-minute hardcore porn movie were filmed in 2001 on the grounds of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. According to the Los Angeles Times, filming was done at night, but how the crew got permission to shoot the movie remains unclear. The city, the county and the state oversee the Coliseum, and the landmark is funded by tax dollars.
Pat Trueman, president of Morality in Media, says the industry must be stopped.
“Someone should lose their job over this,” he contends. “I’m outraged that the porn industry is putting its footprint every place they can in America, and we ought to stop the march of the porn industry.”
The Coliseum, which was built as a memorial to World War I veterans, is used by the University of Southern California for games during football season. It has also been the site of two Summer Olympics.
“The porn industry must be curbed,” Trueman urges. “To do that, we must get our federal laws to prohibit distribution of hardcore pornography.”
A spokesman for the state attorney general’s office told the Los Angeles Times that he did not know if it is illegal to film pornography on state property. But agencies like the California Department of Parks and Recreation prohibit porn shoots on properties they control.
