from www.syracuse.com – A spokesperson at Cornell University has responded to recently surfaced pornographic videos that appear to have been filmed at the Ithaca school’s libraries.

Claudia Wheatley, the college’s director of press relations, told The Cornell Daily Sun that one NSFW video, showing a blonde woman pleasuring herself in broad daylight at what looks like the Engineering School’s library, Carpenter Hall, was “pretty sick.”

“When I was a kid, my mother said some people will do anything for attention, and 50 years later, I’m still amazed by how low people will go,” she told the newspaper.

According to Huffington Post, Big Red students began sharing the videos on Ezra Hub, an online forum for Cornell students, on Monday. Message board posts include links (since removed) to see three different videos on various porn sites, including one that was believed to have been filmed in the Cornell Law Library.

“My question is, what the poppycock?” one user wrote. “She’s facing a window (the one by the bike racks) and it’s broad daylight. And at one point you can see people behind her studying.”

Gawker identified the amateur porn star as an aspiring Playboy model named “Cameron Knight,” [pictured] a 22-year-old from Syracuse, according to an adult website. Forum users also linked to a Twitter page for “Cammy Knight,” but her profile appears to have been deactivated.

It’s unclear what the woman’s real name is or whether or not she is a Cornell student, Business Insider reported. Wheatley told the Cornell Daily Sun on Tuesday that she hadn’t yet contacted the person who uploaded the webcam videos or the performer appearing in them.

The Daily Sun has written previously about public sex on the Ivy League school’s campus. “Make the library into your bedroom and have sex in the stacks” is the No. 1 item on an annual list called “161 Things Every Cornellian Should Do.”

“If that’s the kind of attention she was looking for, I guess she got it,” Wheatley told the newspaper.
