Christie Stevens was a recent guest on LA Talk Radio with host Sam Hasson. Stifling some yawns, Stevens explained that she was a night owl.

“I just fall asleep late. Sometimes I have a really early shoot with an 8 am call time; sometimes call times you have to be there 1 PM. It depends.”

Stevens pointed out that, being the nature of the porn business, girls cancel at the last minute and if you’re on top of it and available, you get your breaks.

A California girl, Stevens, 26, was born in Mission Viejo and grew up in Temecula. Stevens said she had a really good childhood. She began dancing in college, and her conservative parents knew about that but talk little about her present career.

“They just want to know that I’m safe and I’m happy,” she said.

“I think they’re proud of me and that I’m responsible and paying for everything myself.”

Stevens explained that she wasn’t popular in high school.

“I was a straight A student, naive and I didn’t party. I was a good girl. And then my senior of high school after I got accepted to college I let go a little bit. And I was a late bloomer too. I didn’t develop until I was a senior. I felt left out. I had friends, but I wasn’t popular. The boys weren’t chasing me.”

According to Stevens the guys in her school were looking for girls who looked older and more experienced.

“I was kind of a prude,” she laughed.

Stevens didn’t experience her first kiss or sex until her senior year in high school.

“I think I’m [mentally] healthier in this industry because I had time to be a kid.”

Stevens graduated with an A+ average then went on to the University of Utah where she got a scholarship for academics.

“My parents wanted me to have an experience, to get out of the house. Utah was getting out but still close enough to home.”

College, said Stevens, was great.

“It took me a little longer. I danced at gentlemen’s clubs in Utah when I lost my scholarship. I began dancing in my sophomore year.”

Because her grades were suffering, Stevens took fewer classes and got better grades. But dancing allowed her to pay off her tuition including a car.

Asked how she wound up stripping in a conservative place like Utah, Stevens answered, “Don’t be fooled. The University of Utah is not a very conservative school. They have that reputation so everyone tries to prove that they’re not. They have a great football team and great parties.”

Stevens went on to say that the idea of stripping had been in the back of her mind when she was a HS senior.

“I did have the dancing background and I loved to entertain and perform. And I know it was something to do that would be easy. I could make enough money to support myself and pay for school. Besides, I’m a very sexual person. I love the idea of being a sex symbol. Expressing sexuality is empowering.”

Stevens said she was always like that and masturbated from a very young age.

“Before I even knew what it was.”

When Stevens heard about a strip club, she filled out an application and auditioned.

“It was something inside of me I wanted to do,” said Stevens who admits to being an exhibitionist. It was a great experience. I taught me to be responsible.

“I paid for all of my bills and I learned what it was like to pay for utilities, an apartment and a car. I had to be on time. It’s not one of those things when you could show up whenever. Plus I also made a lot of friends working there. It was a good time.”

According to Stevens another advantage was that the topless club she was working out was the only one in the state of Utah that offered lap dances. Thrown into the mix, Stevens said no one taught her the ropes and she had to learn on her own.

Stevens stayed at the club until she got her degree.

“It was a good gig.”

Stevens eventually graduated with a degree in Mass Communication with an emphasis on Public Relations.

Stevens was congratulated by Hasson for having her “head on pretty straight.”

After Stevens got her college degree she began making trips to Los Angeles. She thought about grad school.

“But I didn’t want to have three years of no life and have all that debt. Porn was something I wanted to do for a very long time. I said, I have this time to do it so I decided to go for it.”

Asked what drew her to porn, Stevens recalled how she and her HS friends would check out the Hustler and Playboy magazines and look at the girls.

“I just wanted to be one of those girls. I wanted to be naked.”

Stevens says she’s very comfortable being in the nude and walks around the house that way.

So Stevens figured she’d have more fun being naked on camera plus the fact that the state of Utah takes a dim view on such activities. So she moved to Los Angeles.

“I Googled porn agencies, literally, and I looked up different agencies. I picked one. They said they were interested in representing me. I flew to LA and I started working [beginning last November]. I made a couple of trips back and forth for awhile. Then I came out here in June.”

Stevens’ first scene was a b/g and while she didn’t get to pick her partner, she checked out who he was beforehand.

“I was a little nervous but they all told me I was a natural. I was let’s do it.”

Stevens has yet to do an anal scene.

“That’s something I’m saving, but I’ve done it a couple of times in my personal life. I like it.”

Stevens agrees that some of the positions required in a scene can get physically demanding.

“But it’s really intense and in the moment. If you have a person that you’re working with and there’s chemistry, it’s alright.”

For Stevens it’s a turn on to perform in front of camera and crew.

“Everyone says forget about the cameras and pretend they’re not there. Like, what are you talking about? That’s the whole point.”

Stevens says she likes the idea of being seeing naked around the world.

“We’re supposed to share our gifts and talents. That’s something I excel at, sharing that passion and that energy.

Stevens got a boob job about four years ago when she was still dancing.

“People told me not to, but I’m very happy that I did. I was pretty big before that. I was a 34C but the problem was I’d get a lot of backaches and headaches. They [her breasts] were pulling down and I wanted them to stay up by themselves. I wanted to wear things without a bra.”

Stevens’ parents also questioned why she did that; and they also found out about her dancing from a friend who ratted her out.

“They brought it up at the beginning; they were concerned and wanted me to be safe. They were, like, if you need money, we’ll give you money. But I just wanted to do it on my own. There were a couple of months when it was strained and we didn’t talk. But eventually they were we love you no matter what. They just needed time to accept it and deal with it. I understand that, that it’s a big deal, but I’m still going to do it.”

“So what did your parents think about the porn?” Hasson asked her.

“We haven’t really talked about it at all,” Stevens answered.

“I think they’re kind of over it. I don’t think they know exactly but they don’t need to know all the details. It doesn’t need to be discussed.”

Stevens mentioned that she’s not on exclusive contract with any one adult company.

“I’m with my agent. I actually switched agents. A couple of months it wasn’t a good fit for me and it wasn’t working out. So I went to LA Direct and they’re really good.”

Asked about being on an exclusive basis, Stevens said that used to be the ultimate step in a performer’s career.

“Being a contract girl used to be it. But they’re kind of fading out, from what I’ve seen. Vivid recently got rid of all their contract girls. I think it’s a different time with all the Internet porn.

“The industry has changed, and you can also make a lot more money outside of a contract. It’s definitely one way to do it but it’s not the only way any more. Alexis Texas recently signed with Adam & Eve but that’s because she’s been wanting to slow down a bit.

“But some of the biggest names in the business, like Tori Black, have all done it without a contract. It’s probably a good thing because they wouldn’t have reached the level that they’re at.”

Asked if she dates within the industry, Stevens who calls herself a swinger says she wouldn’t date a male performer.

“I haven’t dated a whole lot in the past year. My personality is that I’m a swinger so I would need to find a guy who was more open.”

Yet Stevens says she wouldn’t necessarily go to swingers get togethers. But to date someone, Stevens says she would have to fully trust them.
Otherwise, she’s been too busy to date including outside the business.

“I’m starting a new career and it’s a lot of work. I go out with friends and I have fun.”

“Have you done gangbangs yet?” Hasson also asks her.

“No I haven’t,” says Stevens with a nervous laugh.

“In the future. I don’t know if I can handle that yet. I can barely do b/b/g/. Two guys is a lot right now.”

Stevens saID she also has a publicist [Rising Star PR] and that’s how she got the interview.
