After a couple of false starts in the past author Chrystal Rose finally made it to LA Talk Radio Tuesday morning and was a guest of Sam Hasson and co-host of Bridgetta.
Rose who hails from North Carolina, has written a book titled âUnfaithfully Yours: Confessions of a Cheating Bitchâ in which Rose puts out the idea that women are just as bad as men when it comes to the infidelity game.
Bridgetta nailed it pretty well when she described Rose as a âfemale Tucker Max,â which, for those who are not familiar, Max makes a pretty good living writing about his exploits as a debauchee and an asshole.
Bridgetta described Max as a âdouchebagâ.
âHow dare you say something like that to me!â Rose laughed.
âIâd like to see you two guys in a situation together and battling it out. Now thatâs hot shit. I would pay to watch,â Bridgetta continued.
Rose conceded that she and Max are similar in the way they tell stories.
âBecause itâs coming from a place where we really donât give a fuck what you think. Weâre just telling the truth as we saw it.â
Bridgetta said it would be absolutely hilarious to see Rose and Max out together for an evening.
âThis is a reality show in the making.â
âI decided to write the book because I decided that women donât admit to cheating,â Rose explained.
âItâs one of those things where it, âoh, I was drunkâ and I wanted to put my story out there with no excuses or bullshit and be like here it is, this is what I did.â
Rose describes herself as a âreformed cheaterâ as opposed to a serial cheater. She was in a six year relationship and was engaged at one point.
âI ended up calling off the wedding because I knew I could not be faithful. I actually value marriage because I didnât want to go through with it and get divorced.â
Although her fiancé had strong suspicions at the time that she was wandering, he could never be sure.
âHe called me on it at one time and I bullshitted my way through it,â states Rose. âHe really didnât have a clue.â
Rose said the thing about her cheating was like having her cake, and eating it along with licking the frosting off the finger tips.
According to Rose her multiple dalliances proved more stressful than anything else and there was no excitement.
Hasson wondered how, in this day and age with social networking, you can carry out sub rosa indiscretions.
âIsnât it hard to cheat today?â he asked.
âI think today itâs definitely more difficult to cheat,â Rose replied.
âBut there are rules people have to follow if they want to get involved with you. If youâre a man and have a woman on the side itâs a little more difficult to maintain because the woman wants to be your one and only. With men thatâs when I put on the breaks and made it clear I wasnât leaving him [her fiancĂ©] for you.â
Rose describes her book as a âthis is what happens..â advisory.
âI donât take myself seriously, Iâm kind of self-deprecating,â Rose adds noting that while she might be perceived as a horrible person she hopes the book provides an apologia for her behavior.
Roseâs book came out in February.
