Charity Bangs, when you’re xeroxing copies of that porn oath you want everyone to sign, send a couple hundred thousand copies over to Homegrown Video, will ya?

Porn people make stupid comments to the press all the time. We all know that, but Farrell Timlake’s remarks to LA Weekly were a beaut. LA Weekly did a piece on the porn moratorium and Timlake who runs Homegrown Video, an amateur company said:

“True amateur porn, the kind that Homegrown Video was founded on, comes from people who are typically in very committed relationships, people who are not having sex with every other person in Porn Valley USA. For them the transmission of any sort of STD is not an issue.”

Oh, so Timlake can verify the health and moral status of every amateur porn filmmaker in the United States? Because that’s what he’s saying. Then I guess we should all revert to amateur status, committed relationships and the industry’s problems will be solved.

No need for Isadore Hall. I’d like to see Timlake make those comments to city and state officials with a straight face. Especially after the sweep of this industry that’s coming in the next few weeks.
