MIAMI—Talent Testing Service (TTS) issued the following statement today regarding industry testing protocols and procedures:

GSP Testing Panel:

On September 1st, 2013 Talent Testing Service, Inc. (TTS) will be introduce a new comprehensive testing protocol called the “Gold Standard Panel” (GSP). This GSP will replace both the Basic and Full Panels currently offered by consolidating the latest testing methodologies into one comprehensive product and furthermore strengthen Primary and Secondary testing algorithms for the detection of STD’s in the adult industry. The GSP will be comprised of the following EIGHT tests:

1. HIV – 1 NAT

2. HBsAg

3. Anti-HCV

4. Chlamydia

5. Gonorrhea

6. Trichomonas Vaginalis and

7. Two Syphilis tests: RPR, TREPSURE EIA Treponema pallidum Antibody, IgG by ELISA

Please note that all molecular tests are performed based on single test / single talent testing protocols. Pooling of material is not a standard practice at TTS.

Improved Test Results Delivery

Times TTS will also be providing its clients test results TWICE a day: at 1:00pmEST/10:00am PST and 6:00pm EST/3:00pm PST, Monday through Friday. If you test at our LA office on Monday by 5:00pm PST, your results will be ready by 10:00am PST the next day.

“These changes come after consultations with Talents, Agents and Production companies throughout the industry,” said Sixto Pacheco, President & CEO of TTS. “TTS prides itself at being at the forefront of industry leading testing protocols. The GSP and additional results availability times are in line with our commitment to continuously improve the available safeguards directed at the health of the Talent and the industry as a whole,” Pacheco continued.

Clearance Issues on FSC/APHSS/PASS System

TTS believes there is a testing loophole in the FSC/APHSS/PASS Clearance database.

“As we have previously stated to FSC/APHSS/PASS, we have strongly recommended that the facility issuing a Non-Clearance to a talent into system must also be responsible for issuing the follow up clearance.” Pacheco said. “At this time, some talents that are not cleared by TTS, due to more rigorous testing protocols in place, shop around for a less stringent panel in order to obtain a follow-up clearance.” Pacheco continued. “This simple change in policy will have an enormous positive impact on the clearance system.”
