Porn Valley — Co Executive producer Steve Banan in a telephone interview today, told me that he is preparing to broker Barnacle Bill the Sailorâ„¢ for Video and DVD release. I asked Steve, what made you people decided to do it now? ” You must strike when its hot, Barnacle Bill and Ron Jeremy right now are very hot.

There is a lot involved and a lot of thought in many decisions. You can’t just go off half-cocked when deciding to make an adult video series. Advanced distribution has to be thought of and arrangements have to be made before the project begins. We were under a lot pressure to get Barnacle Bill the Sailorâ„¢ out for many reasons.”

Banan went on to say, “Ron Jeremy was and still remains very hot in adult and mainstream. He happens to be one of the busiest and nicest men I know. I thought we had some sought of a verbal deal with Metro. Our good friends Joey Wilson and Walter Lynch were let go. They brought in a man as general manager Neil Persky to run Metro, who did not understand one iota of the adult industry. Why they did not offer me the job, a man that has thirty years in adult, I will never understand. When I attempted to meet with Neil; I was thrown out by Metro security.”

Why would he do that to Ron Jeremy’s business partner?

“Honestly I don’t know why that occurred, maybe ego. I think it had something to do with Skeeter Kerkove, who was under contract to Metro at the time. There is no secret for my dislike of Skeeter and his dislike of me.”

Why the animosity between the both of you?

“I will be very forthcoming, the man is trailer trash. I believe when someone makes a solid promise no matter what, he should fulfill that promise. There is no one that I can think off, in and out of adult that I made solid promises to and not fulfilled them. I am not going to get into the details at this time. Honestly, I can’t stomach the man. He has the mentality of two marbles rattling in a freight car. Anyway, RJ resigned with Metro, which is a good thing for another five years and Neil was fired shortly after that.” The question is do you or don’t you have a deal with Metro? “At this time, no we do not have a deal in writing. With the website completed and plans underway to start shooting next season in front of a live audience for cable and DVD release, I have decided to start brokering Barnacle Bill the Sailorâ„¢ for DVD release and sales. It will take a great deal of money and PR to pull this one off and up until now we have been putting up all the cash.”

Tell me about your plans for next seasons live audience cable show?

“First and foremost, let me talk about the star lineup for the first four shows. Teri Weigel, Tabitha Stevens, Montana Guns and Alexander Silk, how can you beat that for openings. The rest of the season, as we have done in the past, we plan to shoot new and hot upcoming talent as the fair maidens. Ronny will come out and do the warm up, some comedy shtick and he will introduce the cast and crew. We will have live rock bands and celebrities performing during the show. It will be no different then any other sitcom, accept for the sex. My plans are to rent and permit a large facility that could welcome a studio audience to shoot at. We will be shooting it in two formats, HD (Hi Definition) broadcast ready and in DV (digital) quality for Web and DVD sales.”

Is this going to be like an every week occurrence?

“I would hope so, but unfortunately just like the last two seasons, we are going to have to work around Ron’s very busy schedule. That’s Ok, no problem RJ and I always get it done. That’s why we take six months as a season and try to work everything into that.”
