Porn Valley- Guy Capo and Co-ho Nicki Hunter played host to Domenica Leone on their KSEX show, www.ksexradio.com Tuesday night. Leone is in a project called PROS which Capo’s shooting for DVSX, www.dvsx.com. But before they got to the interview segment, Hunter and Capo made some civic-minded statements while discussing the Tianna Lynn Hep-C story. Capo apologized because he was just catching up to it after spending some lengthy time in the editing bay.
“There’s been a lot of word about how dangerous this is, what’s going on and how come AIM hasn’t said anything,” said Capo. Hunter quickly jumped into the conversation, noting that she’s worked in hospitals for a couple of years.
“Hepatitis C is a blood borne disease,” Hunter stated. “Hepatitis meaning inflammation of the liver where the liver is malfunctioning. It ceases to function in some cases. The liver strains out the blood of impurities and when it’s all inflamed and hardened it does not do its job. Basically your blood becomes dirty. You need an oil change.” Capo notes that the CDC recommends getting a vaccination if you stand a chance of coming in contact with someone with Hep-C. But I must say from my experience in mortuary science, Hep-C is the runt of the Hepatitis litter. It’s the weakest Hep that’s out there. You have Hep-B you have big fucking problems. Hunter agreed that if you have Hep-B, that’ll take you out of the count.
“Untreated Hep-B will wipe you out,” said Capo. Hunter said you can live with Hepatitis C. “And a lot of people do. It’s most common in very, very sexually active people or anyone who shares needles.”
“More so than it is through semen,” Capo added. “I think that’s why AIM is maybe not throwing up all kinds of red flags about this. Even the CDC acknowledges that it is a very nil chance that you’ll get it through sexual contact unless there is contact with blood involved.” By the same token, Hunter suggested that if you’re having sex with random partners to use a condom. Regarding the condom issue, Capo was willing to concede that Cal/OSHA and the L.A. Dept. of Health will be getting more involved in the industry’s affairs.
“We are going to have to stop avoiding the issue of what to do about this condom-thing,” said Capo. “It’s coming down the pipeline fucking fast. I think everyone’s still in denial that, inevitably, one day, if we don’t start doing something quickly we’re all going to be shooting with condoms.” For her part, Hunter, citing the sexual fantasy aspects of porn, said she doesn’t like seeing condoms on a guy’s cock. “But it is reality,” she said. “You get a condom in there, and it’s a dose of reality that sometimes ruins it for some people. But if we’re going to push condoms with regular people, we need to set an example ourselves. I don’t like it.”
As a director, Capo said he had no preferences. “I don’t give a flying fuck whether you wear condoms, goggles, I just want to make a movie. I have no preference at all. Porn is my creative outlet. If you have to wear a radioactive suit, I’ll find a way to work a script around it.”
Hunter acknowledged the bitches pitched by male talent who whine about condoms. “‘I can’t feel anything if I use a condom!’ That’s a bunch of bullshit, I think. But there are guys out there who go up, down, hard, soft, hard, soft, in which case you’re going to have to go through a lot of condoms.” Capo said it will be the most enormous pain in the ass the industry will ever have to deal with. “And it will be expensive,” added Hunter. “Someone’s going to have to pay for it.” Capo said it will be an issue that’ll have to be revisited. “We need to bring some authoritative people on the show – instead of mopes like me – who can actually have some valid opinions about this thing. We got to talk about this thing and fast.”
