Xbiz.com is reporting that Gary Kremen owner of sex.com is stepping down from the Adult Sites Against Child Pornography [ASACP] advisory council. Kremen has been on the board since November 2002. Kremen’s decision has been cited as a difference of opinion on the direction of the organization according to Joan Irvine, ASACP’s executive director.
Irvine, in the story, also announced that advisory council member Aly Drummond, formerly with Python and now a marketing executive for Adult Video News, has also stepped down. Irvine said Drummond’s departure from the board was due to a policy that only allows one person per company to participate in ASACP’s board of directors. AVN Editor Tom Hymes is currently a board member.
