Porn Valley – As a reminder of the mortality of us all, a memorial service for Jim Holliday will be held tonight, 7-11 p.m., in the Empire Room of the Sportsmen’s Lodge, 12825 Ventura Blvd. (near Coldwater Canyon) in Studio City. Attendees are invited to bring along their favorite Holliday anecdotes and partake of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer, a Holliday favorite, and a buffet of lunch meat and cold cuts.

> The other day on his show Howard Stern, quoted, “some guy” from the AVN red carpet festivities as saying, “We are all walking behind in the the wake of Jenna’s tidal wave.” That quote came from none other than Kurt Lockwood, www.kurtlockwood.com. I spoke to Lockwood the opther night when he put out the statement that he was leaving LA Direct Models. On that score, Lockwood says nothing personal but it was time to part ways, that he felt he was getting lost in the big shuffle of things. And, whether Shy Love had actually left the agency or not in the final analysis, Lockwood said the Love press release earlier this week which was later recanted kind of precipitated his own decision to leave. Lockwood said for awhile it helped his career.

“But the more I was in the business, the more I realized I had access to companies I hadn’t given myself credit for.” Lockwood said he joined the agency during the HIV crisis. “It got me a few extra gigs here and there and helped me get through the slow period. But I don’t know if he’s got too many people or not enough agents, but they just couldn’t keep my schedule straight.” Another consideration said Lockwood was that a $100 agency fee was tacked on to his day rate. “That may have been hurting me and producers may be more apt to use me now that they don’t have to pay that.” Lockwood says he’s also parted ways with his webmaster and is looking for one.

>Bridgette Monroe posts: Clayton [Rithmiller] has come through the surgery with flying colors. He is now out of the intensive care unit and in a private room. He is expected to be released from the hospital some time tonight. I drove to Vegas last weekend to see him. I had messages of concern from many people that had called me. Angela Summers stopped by for a visit. Janine sent flowers. Teddy bears were sent also. Many people responded after this story was posted and I think it has helped in his recovery. > In other news, Jerry V, sales manager at Stardust Industries, www.stardustindustries.com was like the hymn Amazing Grace. He was lost but now he is found. Among the missing this morning, Jerry got a late start today after his KSEX appearance Wednesday night. He went to KSEX to drop off a belated birthday gift for Wankus consisting of men’s sex items and herbal products which the company offers. Jerry then stayed to guest on Lorrainiac’s show which begins airing at 10 pm. According to Wankus, Jerry was dropped off at the station with the intention that his ride would pick him up. The game plan was that Jerry was going to party on the Lorrainiac show where booze is as common as the sign of the cross in a Vampire movie, then his ride would pick him up. According to an e-mail I got from Lorrainiac, Jerry’s ride apparently left him in the lurch and never answered the phone.

Lorrainiac and Jerry then went outside after the show and Lorrainiac told him she’d call a cab. When she came back out, Jerry was gone. “He disappeared,” added Wankus. “The cab shows up and Lorrainiac is freaking out wondering if he just wandered.” After I talked to Wankus I called Jerry over at Stardust. He wasn’t there which prompted even more speculation about what had happened to him. But minutes later, Jerry called me to say he was alright, noting that Katrina Kraven brought in a bottle of both Jack Daniels and Southern Comfort. “I got ripped,” he confessed. “Katrina said, here, help yourself. She’s a really cool chick. I like her.” Jerry explained that instead of taking a cab last night he elected to take a walk and grab a meal. “Then I took a bus.”
