Louisiana- State Rep. Tommy Wright and his codefendant on an obscenity plea face a July court date.

Wright, D-Jena, and Charles Locker II of Deville waived their appearance at Friday’s arraignment; their attorneys entered not guilty pleas for them.

The men were arrested last year after a Red River Waterway Commission park ranger claimed he saw them engaged in sexual activity in a public rest room at Buhlow Lake Recreation Area in Pineville. They say the arrest was due to a misunderstanding.

Wright represents House District 22, which includes areas in LaSalle, Grant, Rapides and Winn parishes.
