Sin City threw a wonderful press luncheon this afternoon in honor of Aurora Snow’s directorial debut, Assploitations which is coming out on their Mayhem line. The event was staged at Maggiano’s Little Italy in the Promenade Mall and featured a relentlessly zestful combination of some killer Lasagna, Ravioli, two different salads and a desert mating the classic standbys, eclairs and vanilla ice cream.

Not to mention Aurora, herself, who looked delectable in a polka dot number. My partner Wayne Lewis, a refugee from Tuesday night karaoke, attempted to scour the terrain of the darkened oak paneled dining room for some video footage but was promptly rebuked by Dean Wormer of Faber College. The Dean instantly attempted to revoke Lewis’s charter by insisting that he shut off his video camera.

Lewis told the Dean that he was basically more interested in Aurora than his mug. Maybe not in those words, but close to it. Some old friends also dropped by including Roger T. Pipe who was never formally introduced to either Lewis or Jason Sechrest who also made an appearance. Both Sechrest and Lewis had the impression that Pipe was some 55 year-old guy running a hermit website and reviewing videos.

I suggested that Pipe reminded me of a handsome, cleaned-up version of Dahmer the intern at KSEX. Lewis told me I was nuts. I also hastened to remind the note-scribbling Pipe on several occasions that adultfyi.com was becoming a “fire-breathing entity.” I even asked Jason his views on professional wrestlers, but he didn’t seem to have too many of those. And I was then ready to ask him about gladiators but switched the subject to The Rock’s movie, Rundown, which came out over the weekend. My impression is that Jason doesn’t find The Rock that appealing. But goodness knows I’m sure he’s going to distort innocent comments I made about Pierce Brosnan.

In any event, Aurora’s always accommodating, and we had the following exchange.

Gene: We’re celebrating the release of Assploitations, your directorial debut. And we’re here in a very classy establishment in the San Fernando Valley. Talk to me. How did this thing go.

Snow: It was a learning experience. I didn’t know how much I didn’t know about directing.

Gene: What were some of those things and we promise not to let on.

Snow: The stuff with scheduling. Actually my two days ran about 12, 13 hours. Which is really long when you’re doing three scenes on one day and two scenes on the next. People were late- as usual. And different things you don’t account for. Things that run into talent issues and different things that you have to take care of. And it was my job to take care of them.

Gene: Who’s in the cast besides yourself.

Aurora: I had Crystal Ray, Velvet Rose, Ashley Blue, Sophia and Arianna Jolie. Arianna Jolie was definitely a remarkable scene.

Gene: I notice that there’s a lot gape-age on the back cover of the DVD.

Aurora: Yes there was.

Gene: Every scene was a gape-er?

Aurora: Pretty much as long as the girl’s body can do it. Some girls don’t gape as well as others but it was an all-out anal extravaganza.

Gene: Was there a plot to this.

Aurora: There wasn’t much of a plot. I introduced some of the girls in the beginning, played with them, got them warmed up for their scene then we just go straight on into the sex. One scene I was sitting behind the camera in my pajamas and just decided to jump in. So it was completely unrehearsed.

Gene: It seems no matter how many movies you direct, every one is a learning experience. What did you learn from this one.

Aurora: Time management. LOL. Definitely time management.

Gene: What is the next project you’re working on.

Aurora: Animal Instincts. I’m shooting that October 6th and the 8th. So it should be out before Christmas. In this each girl represents an animal. Not in a perverted way, and not so much an animal with whiskers, but maybe just the act. It should be interesting.

Gene: Do all these projects mean you’re going to be spending more time behind the camera than in front? Where is this taking you.

Aurora: I think in all my projects I’ll definitely perform. I think that my fans would miss me to much behind the camera. So I’ll perform in all my projects. But I like the learning experience. It gives me a new challenge and something to think about.
