from www.wenn.com – Actor William H. Macy researched his role as a porn film crew member in Boogie Nights by spending the day on an adult film set – and he was largely bored by the saucy scenes.

The Fargo star played a beleaguered assistant director in the hit 1997 film and in order to get into the mindset of someone who works with naked people all day, Macy visited a real porn film set with some of his castmates.

He tells Hustler magazine, “There were these three women in a hot tub who were just stupidly good looking. They were having a party with this dildo that looked like a telephone pole. It frightened me.

“Just like pornography, I was incredibly aroused and then sort of amused and then bored.

“(But) it was an eye-opener to go to that shoot. The crew was a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be (and) the director looked like any director of any film I’d ever seen. She was running around, harried, looking at the clock and trying to think ahead.”
