About Addis Fouche
Addis Fouche is a 30-year-old Black queer woman and a native New Yorker. Her professional background includes roles as a distance runner, sober person, commercial model, adult performer, freelance writer, startup founder, and public speaker. Fouche graduated from Middlebury College with dual majors in Economics and Chinese. She began her career in advertising, working at Wieden+Kennedy, R/GA, and Group M. Her former clients include Bud Light, Lyft, Equinox, Nestle Waters, bubly seltzer, Duracell, DuPont, and Planned Parenthood.
Fouche attributes her ability to take risks to both successful outcomes and failed attempts. She cites early experiences, such as racing down Fulton Street in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, and hearing encouragement to "keep going," as motivators. Her risk-taking and perseverance skills were further developed through learning Mandarin Chinese in a non-Chinese speaking household, over 30,000 miles of cross country and track practice, and attending boarding school. Fouche emphasizes the importance of failed risks in appreciating the impact of risks.
