At least on the issue of transsexuals, Adultcon has waved the white flag of surrender.
This week adult performer Desiree Devine a BBW [big beautiful woman] announced that she was taking legal action [she retained the services of attorney Michael Fattorosi, www.adultbizlaw.com] against Adultcon for their discriminatory policies against women of her size.
Devine had paid for a booth to promote herself at Adultcon 15 this weekend, but when she submitted additional pictures, she was told that she couldn’t be part of the show but that she would get reimbursed.

When Devine showed me the paperwork backing up her claims, I noticed that Adultcon also had a policy of barring transsexuals from the event it schedules twice a year at the LA Convention center. Apparently when the news hit the industry, Adultcon had a decided change of heart. At least where transsexuals are concerned.
James Bartholet, the rep for Kimber James, [pictured] told me last night that James www.adultfyi.com/read.php?ID=31056, a TS performer, had also been barred from the show but that she was notified by Adultcon she could now participate.
“We got an e-mail from Renaud at Adultcon- all of a sudden they’re now allowing us to have Kimber at the booth,” says Bartholet who purchases one on behalf of his company, Galaxy.
“We had Kimber originally scheduled, but Adultcon had sent us an e-mail, saying transsexuals aren’t allowed.”
“It was blatant discrimination. It’s just so wrong, but they were trying to tell me they were worried about fights or something like that. There are fans of BBW girls. There are fans of transgender performers. They’re all a part of our adult community. And we’re happy this has finally gotten resolved.”
No word as yet on the BBW policy.
