AdultFYI Football Pool Week #15 Begins with Indianapolis Colts (13-0) at Jacksonville Jaguars (7-6)

The Indianapolis Colts have more injuries than the M.A.S.H unit but that will not stop them from trying to stay undefeated when they travel to Jacksonville to play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday Night Football. The Colts have already locked up home field advantage in the playoffs but head coach Jim Caldwell has stated that they will not ease off the gas pedal and all of their starters that are healthy will play. The Jaguars always play the Colts tough and are determined to win their final three games to get to the playoffs.

Series record: Colts lead 13-4

Last meeting: Colts beat Jaguars 14-12, Sept. 13, 2009

Last week: Colts beat Broncos 28-16; Jaguars lost to Dolphins 14-10

Notes

* Colts have won seven of last nine in series. Eleven of previous 15, including four in a row, have been decided by seven points or less.
* Peyton Manning needs 95 yards passing to reach 4,000 for 10th time in last 11 seasons. He is 467 yards shy of becoming fourth player in NFL history with 50,000 yards passing.
* Reggie Wayne has at least 100 yards receiving in five of last six games against Jacksonville.
* TE Dallas Clark is 98 yards away from his first 1,000-yard season.
* Having already locked up AFC South title, first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout playoffs, Indy coach Jim Caldwell might consider resting several key players down stretch. Caldwell has declined to divulge his plans, saying “healthy” starters will play.
* Jaguars would like to see Indy’s starters play entire game. RB Maurice Jones-Drew says resting key guys would “show they disrespect us.”
* Jaguars can secure wild-card spot by winning final three games (Indy, at New England, at Cleveland).
* Jags expect to have CB Rashean Mathis (groin) back after four-game absence. They also should have DT John Henderson (shoulder) back after missing last week’s game.
* Rookie OTs Eugene Monroe and Eben Britton struggled against Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis in first meeting, but expect better results this time around.
* David Garrard needs 13 yards passing to join Mark Brunell as only players in team history with multiple 3,000-yard seasons.
* Jacksonville’s home finale is first this season not blacked out on local television, a welcome change for fans, players, coaches and team officials. Jaguars blacked out previous nine home games, including two in preseason.
