SUGAR LAND, Texas [KHOU-TV] – A Clements High School teacher has resigned after being implicated as an adult video star last week.
“The investigation has ended and the teacher has resigned,” Fort Bend ISD spokeswoman MaryAnn Simpson told 11News Wednesday afternoon.
The resignation happened late Tuesday afternoon and is effective immediately, the district said.
Simpson would not discuss any other details since it is a personnel matter.
Fort Bend ISD received an e-mailed tip on Sept. 7 alleging an instructor appears in dozens of adult oriented videos using a stage name. The pictures and video shows what begins as two men wrestling and becomes sexually explicit.
11 News received the same tip.
After investigating the claim for four days, we discovered this man in question performed in 49 sexually explicit videos for sale on the Internet.
Teacher accused
We could not independently confirm the teacher is the wrestler though pictures of the two appear similar.
For that reason, 11 News chose not to identify him.
“I can not believe what I am reading and neither should anyone else,” the teacher said in an e-mail to 11 News. “I take this very seriously and deny the validity of this supposed tip.”
But the district apparently found the allegation serious enough to remove the teacher from his Clements High School classroom last week.
“The teacher is on administrative leave with pay pending outcome of the investigation into allegations we received, which are the same ones you received,” said a Fort Bend ISD spokesperson last week.
The pictures and videos do not appear to be illegal, and we did not find anything in department policy that specifically forbids the teacher’s actions. However, people in the district admit the behavior, if true, is not what Fort Bend ISD would expect of its employees.
After we began asking questions, the Web site selling the explicit videos removed any mention of this specific wrestler.
