Porn valley- If all goes according to plan, Bill Osco’s porn classic Alice In Wonderland will be out on DVD the end of this month, courtesy of Arrow Productions, www.xxxdeepthroat.com. It stars Kristine DeBell who appeared on the April, 1976 cover of Playboy.

Hopefully the original Alice will receive better reviews than its Broadway counterpart when Osco brought it to the Great White Way this year. “The show might just be the least sophisticated and most flagrantly awful musical currently running anywhere in New York City,” wrote one critic. Another advised saving your $50 bucks and finding your jollies, instead, on the Internet.

But what Pistol gathers from Osco, the Broadway production is doing very well. “He’s real pleased with his lead.” However, Pistol wasn’t involved with the original porn production, which was a musical, but was asked by Osco to re-release it for him. “I think it came out on XTV,” is Pistol’s recollection. Unfortunately, said Pistol there were no bells or whistles to sweeten the DVD edition. “I could do nothing but transfer what he had.”

According to Pistol, Bill Margold lent a helping hand in getting things together. “Bill Osco and Margold way back,” says Pistol. “Bill Osco said I want to put this out, what do you think. Margold said Pistol, he won’t cheat you. And I won’t. That was that. It’s not a big long story by any stretch.” The strange party of the story, says Pistol is that he’s never met Osco, only talked to him on the phone and cut a deal in a matter of minutes. “We didn’t even handshake on it. We just said, okay we’ll do it. Well, I guess it was a handshake over the phone. Osco just wanted somebody he could trust to do a good job and I’m the man. He sent me the material and I went to work on it.”

With only a three-quarter format to work from, the film was digitized and cleaned up. “We did everything we could for it,” Pistol says. “But you can’t go beyond what you got. All we could do was sweeten it as best we could.”
