from www.animemaki.net – Recently I had the opportunity to check out Studio Happy Chicken Pink’s latest gravure release, Ayaka is Your Angel.

Check out the review for more details, but all you really need to know is that it was the first release for new model Ayaka Uchiyama, and was quite an impressive title overall. The opportunity arose to interview Ayaka via email, and I simply had to take it!

Q: What did you do before becoming a model? How did you decide you wanted to be a model?

A: Before modeling I worked as a hostess in a club in Shinjuku. Hostesses are like modern Geisha… businessmen come to the club to relax and we sit with them and talk about things and sing karaoke with them and help them relax. I never dreamed of becoming a model until I saw an ad for models from Studio Happy Chicken Pink. I thought it looked fun, but I didn’t know if I had the right style to succeed. After working with the trainers there, they helped transform me into a model!

Q: I just watched Ayaka is Your Angel (Anta no Tenshi) and you seemed to have a very good time. What was it like filming your first film? Were you nervous?

A: I was a little nervous at first. Before we made the video, we practiced a lot, so when it came time to film I knew what I was doing. But not everything was decided on beforehand. Some scenes I was allowed to improvise on… like the scene in the shower with the lotion. That was my idea! I just grabbed the lotion and told HCK to start to film and to trust me. I think it turned out really good. But it was a lot of fun to film it, and a lot of hard work, too.

Q: What was the dish you were eating in the Hostess scenes? Was it good?

A: It was really strange. The food is chicken in chili sauce mixed with American sweet and sour sauce mixed with orange food coloring. It was difficult to get the color right under the lights, so it’s a special recipe… not something you can really order. It was sweet and spicy, but I had an allergy to it and it made my skin red for a couple of days.

Q: Out of all the scenes that you have been featured in, which one is your favorite? For instance, if you were to tell somebody what work you are most proud of, what would it be?

A: I would have to say the shower scene because I got to have a lot of freedom in input into it. But I like the angel scenes as well because I got to act. That was really fun!

Q: I have read your bio, and you mention that you have never been to America. When you have the opportunity to come here, where would you want to go and why?

A: I really want to come to America! I am getting my visa to visit right now, and I’m really excited! I want to visit LA, and Las Vegas and New York. But I don’t know that much about America, so if you can think of a place I should go, please tell me!

Q: You were born in Taiwan, where do you live now?

A: I live in Tokyo.

Q: What is your favorite/least favorite part about living there?

A: I love living in Tokyo, but my family still lives in Taiwan, so I miss my mom and dad sometimes.

Q: What are your hobbies? What keeps you busy when you are not working?

A: I really like shopping and style. I try to go shopping any chance I get, but really I like sleeping too, so between shopping and sleeping I have busy days^^ I’m excited because there is a Kat-tun concert coming up and I love them! I have tickets to go and I can’t wait!

Q: Are you watching the World Cup? Who are you rooting for?

A: I don’t watch a lot of sports, but World Cup news is everywhere! Because I’m from taiwan I hope China does well.
