It’s been a long road for sexy bad girl Annie Cruz, and her triumphant return to adult is being recognized with a nomination for “Performer Comeback of the Year” at the upcoming 2012 XBIZ Awards.

“I’m grateful for the support everyone in the industry has shown since I came back. We’ve done some stellar work and I look forward to making more awesome movies” said Cruz.

Cruz took a couple years off from the adult industry to pursue mainstream projects, as well as a boxing career. She trained as a boxer with one of Laila Ali’s former coaches and even won two boxing matches and made several appearances on WEW (Women’s Extreme Wrestling) before hanging up her gloves to concentrate on performing.

Since her return to adult the fiery Filipina has been shooting constantly and has been working on a plethora of feature, gonzo, and parody projects. Several of her latest releases have already become bestsellers.

Cruz recently wrapped a lead role in “Bloody Fucking Vengeance” for Crazy Heart Entertainment. Cruz plays a vengeful assassin and even gets to show off her fighting skills and swordsmanship in several meticulously choreographed fight scenes.

Cruz has an electric sex scene with Otto Bauer in director Will Ryder’s recent spoof “Beverly Hillbillies XXX: A XXX Parody” for Adam & Eve and X-Play.
