Hollywood, CA – During a star-studded event at the legendary Avalon in Hollywood, Axel Braun brought home the prestigious trophy for Director of the Year-Body of Work.

Braun, a 20-year industry veteran with over 400 titles under his belt, is responsible for some of the most successful Adult movies of the past year, the bulk of which he directed for Hustler Video. From blockbuster porn parodies like This Ain’t Happy Days XXX and This Ain’t Star Trek XXX to interactive mega-hits You’re Nailin’ Palin and Teravision’s Lupe Fuentes’ Interactive Girlfriend Sexperience, Braun’s body of work in 2009 was definitely extensive and quite impressive.

“It’s an incredible honor to be recognized by XBiz”, says Braun. “But as much as I would love to take full credit for this, the truth is that behind every director’s accomplishment there’s the hard work of many talented people, and I am just lucky enough to have an incredible team on my side. It was truly a great night, the show at the Avalon was amazingly well produced and it had a fun, relaxed vibe. Everybody seemed to genuinely have a great time, and Sunny Leone and Teagan were excellent hosts. The fact that I won such a coveted award was a beautiful, unexpected note, and watching Evan Stone win for Best Actor in This Ain’t Star Trek XXX made my night even more spectacular!”

Braun, who just finished shooting This Ain’t Star Trek XXX 2-The Butterfly Effect for Hustler, seems to have no plans for slowing down in 2010. In fact, with a slew of very high-profile projects in the works, including This Ain’t I Dream of Jeannie XXX for Hustler, and his long-awaited Batman XXX for Adult powerhouse Vivid Entertainment, looks like his upcoming body of work could very well be his best yet.
