Omar Williams, regarded as Britain’s biggest blue movie star, has been busily helping to renovate the Grade II listed windmill in Moor Lane.
Originally from Northampton, Mr Williams, aka Big Omar, is assisting close friend Vicky Holmstock who bought the landmark in Spring 2008.
He has since become well-known in the community, joining football club Sacre Coeur and mixing with locals.
The dad was in the porn industry for around 16 years and has owned production company Big Willy Productions for almost 11 of them.
But Omar put his career on hold to help restore the much-loved windmill.
Tradesmen who visit the building site describe him as a “really nice guy”.
When asked, Vicky claimed Omar was not living at the windmill and refused to discuss their relationship.
This piece of Crosby’s history has been in disrepair for years.
One middle-aged resident remembered playing in the dilapidated building as a small child.
But the project has run into planning issues with the council.
As a Grade II-listed building in a conservation area strict guidelines surround the windmill and any plans to revamp it.
Vicky, a solicitor and yoga instructor, was given permission in July 2008 by Sefton Council to build a new driveway and wall on the site.
But she hit problems in November 2008 over plans to build a ground floor extension, alter the windmill’s doors, remove the bricks’ coating and rebuild the balcony.
Vicky is also required to comply with strict planning regulations over the windows of the windmill – a key feature of the property.
The planning report said the proposals did not go into enough detail.
On his website Omar calls himself a “very professional guy who likes to meet people who are looking to spice up their lives”.
The 42-year-old, also known as the Omster, has appeared on a Dutch chat show and starred in over 50 X-rated movies.
He wrote: “They seem to be very popular worldwide which I’m very flattered with.
“I’ve won various awards in the business including Best Male Actor, Best Video, Best Scene.
“I work with all the big names in the business.”
