Bridgette Kerkove Comes Clean on the Chopsticks Count

Bridgette Kerkove’s interview with the Sports Swami aired today. Kerkove said she had a contract with Metro as a director as well as a performer. Kerkove said she directs one feature a month but in January will branch out and begin merchandising with various products.

Of Metro’s Joey Wilson, Kerkove says “he’s so professional- so down-to-earth; he’s truly a nice person and there’s no bullshit. Kerkove was asked why she went with Metro. “Because they’re the company that offered me directing,” she replied. “That’s utmost longevity; that’s infinite longevity. As long as you can produce and direct movies that the company you’re working for is happy with, and the customers are buying them and wanting them.” Kerkove said as a part of her contract she still does scenes.

“Let’s be realistic. Tomorrow I could be run over by a car and not have legs. What would I do? Of course I have my fame but that doesn’t last forever. So I’m happy to have moved to behind the scenes.” Kerkove’s very happy with the way her career has gone so far. Swami asked Kerkove who won Best New Starlet in 1999 why she took a retirement awhile back. “I worked for two and a half years at a total, hectic crazy pace,” she replied.

“I was shooting movies every single day. When you’re on feature sets, you’re there for a good 12 hours a day. You’re not even doing anything. You’re just basically sitting there, talking, eating, whatever. But it wears on you. It has nothing to do with the sex or anything else like that. People who are married and probably don’t even watch porn have more sex than I did averaging once a day at their house. What wears on you is the fact that you have to be somewhere and you made this commitment. Now I’m just a lazy ass and get to be home and enjoy it and be my Martha Stewart self.”

Kerkove said there was no specific reason for her homebody demeanor and the fact that she doesn’t carouse. “My parents never drank. They never had alcohol in the house. I didn’t grown up with alcohol. There was no reason for it.”

Kerkove’s parents married young. “And there was nothing but kids from the get-go. My father worked; my mother took care of us and it took up all of their time.” If she does drink, Kerkove will have a shot or maybe one glass of wine. “I’m not used to drinking, so when I do drink I’m already buzzed after one drink.” Swami said he had heard that Kerkove reacts adversely to alcohol. “I’m allergic to a lot of things,” she said. “I also have a hyperactive thyroid. You have to take care of your body and you can’t trash on it.”

Kerkove also loves interior decorating. “The throwback to the 1950’s mom? I love it. I love being at home and decorating and shopping and being a mom. Then I have my one day a month where I go have fun on my adult set and it is grueling because I shove all my shooting into one day but I would rather do that instead of having two days of being tired. I’d rather get some Starbucks, run for 24 hours and get it done.”

Though she lives a pretty quiet life, Kerkove’s the first to admit if someone gets in her face, she’ll stick up for herself. “There’s no reason for someone to put another person down. I’m not coming on your show and picking random names and trashing them. The interview’s about me. Other people might need to go on shows and instead of talking about themselves, rag on others.” Swami also apologized for comments he had made in the past about Bridgette. “I didn’t know you at the time and you’re totally different from what I’ve heard.”

Kerkove wrote it off as the fact that everyone seems to have a comment whether they know you or not. Swami then asked her if she was the one actually writing material on bkmax.com.

“For the diary? Of course it’s not me writing. I can’t write like that,” she admitted. “I’m absolutely nothing like that. That’s not me. I don’t write it. I don’t have any input on that and that’s just the way it is. You heard it here. I never wrote any of that.” Which might lead one to suspect who was writing the Decadent Kerkoves articles that appears on avn.com. “Who thinks a girl would write like that?” Kerkove asked. On the other hand, Kerkove says when she goes on the set she becomes the crazy girl fantasy that many men harbor. “I become that person for a day and I love it. It’s so much fun. I love being able to direct. I love being able to act in my movies.”

Asked about her Best New Starlet award, Kerkove said she never went there expecting to win. “I had just gotten into the business. I had never been to the award show and actually the weeks before the award show there was a really crazy flu that went around and I was bed-ridden for like two weeks, really frail. So when I went to the awards show I was still running a fever. When they announced my name I had a 103 fever. Cause I know I left right after I got my award and took my temperature. I was like, oh my God, no wonder I’m dying here.” Swami brought up Jewel de’Nyle’s name as one of the contenders that year. Kerkove said de’Nyle was one of the 11 other girls also up for the award.

It was Swami’s opinion that de’Nyle was the odds-on-favorite and that Kerkove won in an upset. Kerkove said she didn’t even know who de’Nyle was, that was how new she was to the business and didn’t realize there had been an upset. “I didn’t know people were mad. I didn’t know anybody. I was so green it wasn’t even funny. I didn’t watch adult films before coming into the business. I didn’t even know Ron Jeremy. I don’t remember names worth anything.”

Kerkove also noted that several months later, perhaps out of spite or jealousy, other girls were getting her fired off of shoots. “I realized that there was 11 other people that lost and they’re not too happy. But, again, I got apologies from some people who were not too nice to me. They appreciated that I didn’t do anything back to them.”

Kerkove said she got into the business, literally, for her husband, Skeeter. “I had no plans,” she said. “I went in and shot my first scene which was a girl-girl. It was like, wow, that was fun. That was easy. But I was really, really scared. I was shaking. I had never taken my clothes off in front of anybody before. Especially in front of a room of people I didn’t know. I was never a stripper or anything like that. So for the first time, I’m taking my clothes off and having sex with someone I don’t even know. So those are my wild and crazy moments in my life. Everything I’ve done in adult- that is my wild and crazy time. I don’t need any more than that. I’m laughing from having a good day. It’s good for me. Cumming is the best high, anyways. I don’t need any more than that.”

Swami had to ask about the chopsticks scene. Kerkove said that’s become folklore, and she’s very correct. Kerkove shot the scene four years ago when she first got into the business. “It’s still being talked about.” Kerkove said she was on a set shooting a scene and it was the director who brought in the chopsticks. “They stuffed the chopsticks inside of a condom so it became like a wood dildo. And for a minute or two stuck it in my ass and took photos. It’s still talked about which is so crazy.”

Kerkove saw a photo from the scene and was able to count the number of chopsticks. According to her, the number didn’t even come close to what everyone has been led to believe. “You could actually count how many sticks there were, and there was like 18.”
