Britney Spears has gone topless for the cover of the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine — but she’s not showing much.
That’s because it’s a shot of the pop singer from the side, where she’s pressing up against a wall. But she’s chosen to reveal much more in the interview, including her thoughts on the fervor the kiss between her and Madonna caused on MTV Video Music Awards last month. Spears told the magazine that her new CD shows where she is in life right now, and it’s “sensual,” not “sexual.” “I’m not gonna come out on this record and show my crotch or anything,” Spears said in an excerpt of the interview on the magazine’s Web site. “That’s not me. I would never do anything like that. It’s all in the way you do stuff, all in the way you carry things. The music is most important to me.” Spears laughed and said she probably wrote sexy songs “subconsciously” because she’s not in a relationship. Spears’ new album “Get In the Zone” will be released Nov. 18. Her first single, “Me Against The Music,” which she performed during the NFL kickoff concert, will feature Madonna. Spears co-wrote seven of the 13 songs on the album, and her collaborators include Moby and embattled singer-songwriter R. Kelly.
