Paramus, New Jersey – Adult video industry international icons Ron Jeremy and Mary Carey have been named theco-publishers of SWANK (www.swankmag.com). This marks the first time in hardcore history that a porn star “couple” has been named as the top officials of a major XXX publication. Ron and Mary, two of the most well-known and most popular X-biz performers of all time, signed long-term contracts to co-publish SWANK and take it to the next levelof promoting the magazine’s global porno profile-as the ultimate venue showcasing “The World’s Most Beautiful Women.”
The “official” announcement is made in the November 2006 issue of SWANK (on sale August 22nd) featuring Ron and Mary on the cover and in an exclusive photo-layout. This is the first time the publication has had a male-female cover in its over 65-year history. This historic pairing means the adult media entertainment will never be the same. “Mary and Ihave assumed carnal command of the magazine and its international erotic empire. It took more than a year of negotiating and planning, but it’s a done deal,” stated Ron from the magazine’s New Jersey offices.
The backgrounds of the Cleveland, Ohio-born Mary and New York City-native Ron hardly require them presenting resumes to anyone. Ron is a legend in the biz, having starred in over 1,800 hardcore productions and is a regular in the public eye, having appeared in scores of mainstream movie, TV and public appearances, including on thehit VH1 reality series, “The Surreal Life.” Mary (36DD-24-36) meanwhile has been a constant mainstay in both adult and mainstream media. She regularly appears on local, cable and network news as a past and present California gubernatorial candidate and on entertainment programs commenting on her own life, or even the news of the day.
SWANK’s successfully wooing of and Ron puts the pair firmly in place as twin guiding editorial lights for the popular men’s mag. A slew of major XXX ventures for the magazine are already in the works. “We have so many exciting things on the drawing board!
