LOS ANGELES, CA – Looks like Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards are about to enter into a three-way.
A year and a half since swapping vows, the reformed Hollywood bad boy and former Bond babe decided holy matrimony was not enough — they wanted kids. To that end, the lovebirds announced Monday that they are expecting their first child.
In a statement released through their publicist, the 38-year-old Sheen and 32-year-old Richards confirmed that the little tyke’s due sometime in early spring. No word on the baby’s gender.
The Wild Things star first met Martin’s baby boy while filming the little-seen 2001 romantic comedy Good Advice. The two later clicked as Richards costarred in Sheen’s Spin City. And the rest, as they say, is Hollywood history. The couple subsequently got engaged in January of 2002 and made it official the following June.
Despite his bachelor predilection for dating porn stars (he once racked up a $50,000 bill with Heidi Fleiss’ escort service), Sheen is no stranger to fatherhood. He has an 18-year-old daughter named Cassandra, a freshman in college, from his previous relationship with his high school girlfriend, Paula Profitt.
The thespian’s career took off in the ’80s with headlining roles in Oliver Stone’s Oscar-winning Platoon and Wall Street, and was followed by more commercial hits like Major League and Young Guns.
Sheen veered into B-movie hell throughout much of the ’90s until he rebounded by replacing Michael J. Fox in ABC’s Spin City, for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe.
This is a first child for Richards, who shot to fame getting hot and heavy with Neve Campbell and Matt Dillon in Wild Things and playing nuclear physicist Dr. Christmas Jones in The World Is Not Enough. Her other credits include Drop Dead Gorgeous, Valentine and Undercover Brother.
Next, the winsome twosome costar together in Scary Movie 3, which hits theaters on October 24.
