Tennessee- www.story.birminghamstar.com – The small city of Franklin, Tennessee has been ordered to pay US$2 million to a former employee after he was dismissed for having pornography on his work computer.

Even though Joe Williams, 46, was fired for the alleged infringement, he was able to prove in court that the pornography was not downloaded deliberately.

A computer expert testified on his behalf that the pornography download had been redirected through another site, and had simply been imprinted on the computer hard drive without his knowledge.

The settlement is one of the largest paid to a dismissed employee.
