Conversations with Aurora Snow-final

Porn Valley- I met Aurora Snow at the Defiance offices Friday morning. Snow has just finished directing one movie with the company called Dirty Dykes and is shooting an interracial movie for them next week. Other than that, she’s been on the road either dancing or making public appearances. Aurora also tells me that she’s not wearing diapers contrary to some absurd shit that’s been written about her on the Internet. And we get into all of that, as well, including her departure from Sin City.

“Dirty Dykes is a fantastic movie,” says Snow. “I had never shot a girl-girl movie and I wanted to do something violent and degrading which I really think came across with the Tory Lane-Vanessa Lane scene.” According to Snow it called for one of the girls to get her head dunked in a toilet, but, Snow-observing propriety, refilled the bowl with distilled water.

“The girls agreed before the scene, well, if you get our head dunked, I’ll get my head dunked,” Snow laughs. “It was even and fair trade. I had Tory Lane sitting on a toilet, peeing. Vanessa burst in. And to give them motivation, I had Vanessa screaming at Tory, ‘You little bitch- you fucked my boyfriend! How could you do that?’ She then grabs Tory by the head, and is about to dunk her in the toilet. You just see this look in Tory’s eyes. She changes her mind. She thinks, ugh-uh. She grabs Vanessa with one hand. Her other hand goes to the bidet. She turns on the bidet, shoves Vanessa’s face in it and Vanessa’s totally caught off guard and she’s screaming. From then the grudge fuck was on.”

Speaking of grudge fucks, I ask Snow what happened at Sin City.

“We amicably ended our contract,” she says. “We were supposed to go another year. We both decided I wanted to do something different and they wanted something different from me. So we decided it was best we part ways.” In other words, the old creative differences situation.

After that, Snow took a break.

“I had been in the business 5 1/2 years without any real, solid breaks,” she says. “After that I withdrew from the industry. I didn’t do anything industry-related for about three or four months. I went back to school full time. I got a lot done. Unfortunately it wasn’t towards my degree, but it gave me something to focus on and it gave me a better sense of myself. Because you lose it sometimes. Then I had to sit down and re-evaluate my life and decide what I really wanted. As far as my personal life goes, I did a lot of changing in that area- and that took awhile. I’m single and happy and plan on remaining single for quite some time. I’ll be single for at least a year to clear the air and keep things go. It was a major overhaul and reconstruction.”

Snow knew Defiance’s Keith O’Connor from the time, four years ago, when she shot content for Scott Delamo.

“Keith actually set it up on the east coast,” Snow recalls. “I had never met him [Keith] before. And that’s how we first came to be.”

I also recall that shoot involving some very heavy drama.

“There was a lot of that,” laughs Snow. “There was a silver lining to that. It was a bad experience. The good thing is that single, isolated incident is what made me want to go to law school. I figured out what I wanted to do in an off twist of things.” Judging from what Snow’s saying, she could use a good lawyer right about now because her content allegedly went over to Metro by way of Delamo.

“They’ve made some fantastic movies out of that content,” she notes sarcastically. “I was never paid for it- by the way, they don’t have a model release for any of it. Jay [Ashley] actually did a scene with me in one of those because he came on the set with me. Jay did that for free and they have no model release. Because I did a trade with Gauge, I did a girl-girl scene with her and some stills; I did a girl-girl with Brittany Sky and then I did a boy-girl with Jay; and I did some solo stuff. They made a movie called The Best of Aurora Snow and it’s through Scott’s Cloud 9 Productions. But he has no model releases which I think is a terrible thing considering the 2257 laws and all that. But, apparently, they’re with the right company, and the company’s already shot me before so they pulled up some other model releases. To them it’s not a big deal. I had to put that aside and let everything go. What are you going to do?”

Although she did it one other time several years ago, Snow mentions that she just started feature dancing and just returned from being on the road for several months.

“I directed Dirty Dykes in between that time,” she explains. “Then I went back out again; now I’m back for November-December.” For now Snow hasn’t been performing before the camera.

“But that is by no means to say that I’m retired,” she points out. “I’m not retired. It just means at this time I’d like to step back and let my movies sell on their merit, that I directed them and that they’re good enough and I don’t have to put myself in them to sweeten the deal.”

Snow was also on the Howard Stern show earlier this year.

“It was funny,” she says. “They told me it was a contest and so I was wearing something nice. I was wearing jeans. But these girls were all dressed up in these short, little skirts- they were really cute things. I’m looking at this and thinking I’m so out of place. It turns out it was a pageant. But to me contest and pageant are two different things. Too analytical, maybe.”

Besides the movie that she shoots next week, Snow’s also got something lined up for December. For next week’s shoot, Snow has managed to line up all the people she’s wanted so far.

“I’m using Lauren Phoenix, and I’m really excited about that,” says Snow. “I haven’t seen her in so long. She was one of my favorite girls to work with.” Also in the movie will be Katsumi who’s doing a d.p., as well as a girl named Joey from Exotic Star Models. Mr. Marcus, Byron Long and Julian St. Jacques are in the cast as well.

“I found a girl who’s been telling me about a black midget with this really big cock,” Snow laughs. “For the last couple of weeks I’ve been searching for him. I don’t even know what this guy’s name is. No one seems to know if this guy exists. So I found this pretty girl who’s willing to do the black midget if I can find him. So I’m still in search. I hope to find him by the time we start shooting and hope he’s available.”

“Are you in a good place now?” I ask Snow

“Absolutely,” she replies. “Sin City was great and I had a fantastic run with them. But I think the time we chose to end our agreement was ideal. because from there everything had gotten so much better. That’s not to say because of them, but it was just the timing of that.”

I tell I heard rumors that she wouldn’t show up for shoots and other people had to direct her movies. She says that’s not true.

“Things happen- people say things,” she comments. “It is what it is. I’ve heard a lot of terrible rumors. I’ve heard that my ass fell out. I had a fan who e-mails me: I hope you’re okay. I’m so sorry. I love you. I’ll be your fan forever. I e-mail him back- I’m, like, what happened? He goes I heard this [that her ass fell out]. I’m, like, no. I was in a car accident, and I hurt my tailbone. So my tailbone got bent in. It took awhile to heal. While the tailbone was in, I couldn’t do anal because the tailbone was interfering. It would have healed a lot faster. The way they do it- they go inside and actually pull the tailbone out. But I didn’t want to do that.”

That’s almost like an auto body shop repair, I tell Snow. What Snow did instead was take a longer route.

“I did a lot of acupuncture and went to chiropractors,” she says. “It took a lot longer because I let my body naturally straighten itself out. But I’m okay. Look, there are girls that have done above and beyond what I’ve done and they’re still doing it. It’s the human body. It’s versatile and resilient.”

School’s still in the immediate future, says Snow who needs to finish a Calculus class and a lab science class to get her degree. “Then I can go to law school.” For now Snow loves the fact that she’s dancing.

“It’s so much fun,” she says. “I really love getting up on stage and traveling. I went to Nashville. Nashville was great. I’m really into country music so I got to go to all these country bars. I’m really liking touring. Once I get the touring out of my system, I’ll settle down, get my two classes and go to law school.”

Snow tells me she’s incredibly fortunate and lucky to have avoided the horror stories she hears from other girls on the road.

“I hear terrible things about some of these strip club owners,” Snow says. “I’ve met the nicest strip club owners that have taken me out to dinner. But not just me- it’s like me and my roadie; the owner’s wife or girlfriend. I’ve been taken out to shows. I’ve been amazed at how nice these people are. The girls at the clubs are so sweet and I’ve heard the oppostite stories about people. But it’s been fun.”
