Porn Valley- My attempts to interview Daryn Darby on the set of Defiance Films’ blowjob competition became something of public spectacle. To say the chat became something of a sausage fest of onlookers is to understand that Darby seems to attract this kind of male attention.

I attempted to walk up those stairs but I’m never doing that again.” Asked if it was because they had a spooky connotation, Darby says more like the fact there’s a million of them. Asked what she doves for laughs and kicks in that town, Darby says there’s a heavy European influence and she likes to go dancing. “There’s different salsa clubs. And they’re a lot more fun. They’ve got the best of both worlds. I like to hang out with all my friends when I’m out there.”
Besides being raised in California, Darby also grew up on the west coast of Alaska. “My family has a fishing lodge in Alaska during the summer time.” Darby says she goes up there from time to time when she’s sick of the city life. Darby does extensive traveling to hear her tell it. “I can’t seem to stay in one place for too long,” she says. “I’m used to that. I love traveling to Europe, the Mediterranean- I went there this year- Casablanca, Morocco. The next couple of months I’m going to Lebanon. I want to go to Egypt. I haven’t gone there yet.” Darby says she gets this from her mother who’s from France and loves to travel as well. Darby’s father is full Scandinavian.
Darby’s mother has some idea that she’s doing porn. “She knows- she’s kind of in denial. She doesn’t actually want me to say it. She’s not a prude. She knows what’s going on. She’s not stupid.”
Darby likes the business but isn’t blind to its cutthroat aspects. “There’s a lot of betrayal. But I’ve had a lot of experience with that regardless of being a porn star or not.”
