Newcomer Mandi Slade was a guest on Kylie Ireland’s KSEX show last week.

Gene: I like that name. It sounds like you’re in the wild, wild west.

Mandi: Like a gunslinger.

Gene: So how many times do you get the Teri Hatcher-thing.

Mandi: All the time! And I have been since Lois and Clark was on when I was about 15 or 16. And I’m really trying to get away from it.

Gene: Get out of here.

Mandi: Teri Hatcher had her day in the sun but it just ain’t today.

Gene: Her day’s Saturday; your day’s Friday. So how long have you been in the business.

Mandi: Just about a month and half now.

Gene: You’re really brand new.

Mandi: Brand spanking new.

Gene: You like spanking?

Mandi: I love spanking. That’s actually how I started out and that’s the direction I’m trying to stick to. Mainly bondage and fetish.

Gene: You started out in bon-dage?

Mandi: Yeah.

Gene: Like getting strung up on those whachamacallits.

Mandi: The St. Andrew’s cross. And I really like Japanese bondage, Japanese rope dresses and things like that. I just like the feeling of being constricted and not being able to move while somebody’s doing something to me.

Gene: You like the powerlessness?

Mandi: Definitely. But I’m also a top. I like dominating people, too.

Gene: You’re doing hardcore scenes?

Mandi: I haven’t done any hardcore yet.

Gene: But you carry yourself so hardcore.

Mandi: Than you. I guess it’s a compliment! Bondage as it is right now hasn’t quite gone that route yet and I’m actually looking forward to the time that it does. It has in some sense but I’m looking forward to when they cross the adult world with the bondage and fetish worlds.

Gene: It hasn’t yet and maybe not. The industry is very skittish about that. So what got you into adult entertainment.

Mandi: Kylie and her boyfriend. I met them on a website not knowing who she was. Because I know nothing about porn or the adult world. We met and they told us who they were and what they did. My fetish modeling started out- I’m on a bondage website and Bill Majors who runs Bon Vue Enterprises contacted me about doing some modeling for them. That was in September. I started modeling for them and they needed a production assistant. And I started working on productions with them. I’m sort of their jack-of-all-trades around the studio. I clean up all the sets and I take care of all the models when they come in. And I model. I’ve done a video for them and it’s been a blast.

Gene: Think you might move into hardcore?

Mandi: I did my first adult last night (last Wednesday). It was a girl-on-girl and I had a great, great time. I think it’s something that I definitely want to continue doing. As of now I enjoyed it, I want more. It’s a learning process.

Gene: What kind of kid were you growing up.

Mandi: I was actually a good kid. I’m a drama queen. I’m very talkative and loud but I wasn’t a wild child. I was never bad. I was very much aware of who my authority figures were. I was definitely the teacher’s pet. I was the first to raise my hand in class. I was the first to volunteer to do anything for my teachers. I was a kiss-ass.

Gene: The first to rat out your classmates?

Mandi: I wasn’t too much of a tattletale unless somebody did something to me that really pissed me off. Then in high school I started developing my own personality and my own beliefs about the world and about people. That’s when I started having sex. I went, hey, I really like this whole sex-thing. It’s kind of cool. I was 17 when I lost my virginity. It was a long term boyfriend. It was a few months after because it was my first time. It was a big deal.

Gene: So this guy had blue balls.

Mandi: No because we did everything but have sex.

Gene: Such as.

Mandi: Any oral. We played around a little bit and tied each other’s hands up and beat each other. That was a lot of fun. That’s where my interest in bondage started.

Gene: That’s usually when you’re a lot younger.

Mandi: A lot of people do. I did not. I started exploring girls at a much younger age. I had a best friend and we would take our clothes off and just basically kiss everywhere. But we didn’t know what we were doing. I was always the boy. She was always the girl. That pissed me off because I wanted to be the girl. And she was blond. I’ve found that blonds are always the girls and brunettes are always the boys.

Gene: That’s usually the standard rule of thumb.

Mandi: It made me so mad but I’m over it, now.

Gene: What was the spark that made you decide to get in front of a camera.

Mandi: I’m just that type of personality. I’m very free with myself and who I am. I’m just open, honest and out there with everything that I do. Just having fun and then it was, God, I really want to do this and me finally saying to myself okay, I’m going to do it.

Gene: Where’s the craziest place you might have had sex.

Mandi: The first time with Kylie. That was my first time having sex with a girl. It was in her warehouse.

Gene: Between the age of seven and now…

Mandi: It took me that long to have sex with a woman? Yeah. I had always been attracted to women. 16 was when I felt I really had an attraction towards women. But I never did anything about it. Never.

Gene: What were the circumstances.

Mandi: My significant other and her significant other as couples had gone out together a couple of times. There was sort of a sexual tension in the air all the time. And so one night my boyfriend started taking my clothes off and making out with me. Then she and her guy started joining in. Then she and I started kissing and I just dropped to my knees and went down on her. That was it. That was my breakthrough. Kylie Ireland popped my cherry.

Gene: Not everybody can make an off camera statement like that.

Mandi: I know! It was cool. I feel bad for girls who’s first time with a girl is on camera. I could not imagine doing that. It seems like such a scary thing to me because you don’t know how it’s going to go.

Gene: I take it your first girl-girl scene went well for you.

Mandi: I had so much fun. And I had great girls to work with. I did a bit with Lola. She and I were in a scene then I did a scene with three other girls, Nakita Kash, Jasmin and Aria. I had a great batch of girls to work with. Everybody was supportive because it was my first day. I’ve been having a blast. The past few days have been like a whirlwind.
