FAIRFIELD, Connecticut – Police said a town man stole his neighbor’s identity and used it to subscribe to several pornographic Web sites.

Jermaine Williams, 23, of Post Road, was charged Wednesday with third-degree identity theft and larceny in the sixth degree.

He was free on bond pending arraignment in Superior Court.

The victim told police that between June 21 and 26 someone had withdrawn $364 from his checking account and used the money to subscribe to several Web sites, including Xratedmidgets.com, Beefychikks.com and Largegirlxxx.com.

Police said they were able to trace the America Online screen name used to subscribe to the Web sites to Williams.

When confronted, Williams admitted to taking bank statements from the victim’s apartment and using the information from the statements to subscribe to the porn sites, police said.

Asked by police why he did it, they said Williams replied: “I don’t know, I was just being stupid.”
