Los Angeles, Calif. – According to accounts published this week in Newsday, Planetary Resources Incorporated, Google´s ambitious new asteroid mining venture, is attracting billionaire investors eager to “harness the potentially trillions of dollars of minerals” that may be resting beneath the surface of a nearby asteroid. But what would happen if an asteroid reached us first?
That´s the intriguing question posed by Countdown, 2012 AVN award-winning director Brad Armstrong’s epic two-disc DVD blockbuster for Wicked Pictures. Starring Wicked GirlsTM jessica drake, Kaylani Lei and Alektra Blue, the filmmaker´s ambitious drama follows several couples as they learn that a massive asteroid is on a collision course with Earth. Called Vesta, it´s the size of Arizona and rocketing toward the planet at 200,000 mph. Scientists say it will create the equivalent of a 15.2 earthquake, and that life as we know it will end.
With this fascinating concept in place, the DVD´s compelling story follows several groups of people as they spend their final days preparing for the inevitable. From the President and his Cabinet to the everyday man on the street, everyone prepares for “The End” in different ways. Some “prep” with courage, some with fear and others with unexpected humor.
As Countdown unfolds, the excellent cast realistically portrays a diverse cross section of ordinary people in extraordinary situations. In addition to the 168 minute, 16×9 widescreen HD motion picture, the two-disc DVD includes a plethora of exciting special features, including a behind-the-scenes featurette, “The Girls of Countdown,” extra sex scene footage, a digital copy of the movie, and no less than three bonus Wicked sex scenes.
As part of the film´s promotional roll-out, Wicked GirlTM jessica drake discussed the movie last night on Brewin´ After Dark, (www.brewinafterdark.com), the provocative Internet radio program that finds hosts George Brew and Katie Summers discussing the latest developments in major league sports and adult entertainment.
In addition to Countdown, Ms. drake also discussed her recent Presidential endorsement, which was published in its entirety yesterday morning on the Daily Beast (www.bit.ly/NZuO0m).
The ancient Mayans predicted that the end of the world would befall us December 21st, 2012, but one just has to wonder – what would happen if Armageddon were to arrive a few months ahead of schedule?
Brad Armstrong’s Countdown lands in stores today. Find out what people are willing to do in that time before the end of time.
