from www.phillyburbs.com – A Pennsylvania Superior Court judge has overturned the attempted prostitution conviction against Susan Finkelstein, the woman arrested by Bensalem police in 2009 for allegedly offering sex for Phillies tickets, her attorney said this morning.
The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office confirmed the court decision.
William Brennan, Finkelstein’s lawyer, said he will hold a press conference this afternoon at his Center City office to dicuss the decision.
A Bucks County jury convicted Finkelstein of attempted prostitution, a misdemeanor, in March 2010.
She had met with an undercover Bensalem officer after he responded to her online ad looking for tickets to a 2009 World Series game in which the Philadelphia Phillies were playing the New York Yankees.
The jury found that Finkelstein took a substantial step toward trading sex for tickets.
Finkelstein got a year of probation and 100 hours of community service.
She also lost her public relations job at a Philadelphia cancer research facility amid the publicity surrounding her arrest.
