from www.google.com -A teaching assistant who helped her husband secretly film young girls as they bathed at their home has been jailed for two-and-a-half years.

Rosemary Foxall prepared baths for the girls while her husband Martin, who has since committed suicide, secretly filmed them at their marital home in Brownhills, West Midlands, over an eight-year period.

Foxall, 49, was found guilty earlier this month of 10 charges of making child pornography, and another charge of possessing 147 indecent photographs of children.

Sentencing her at Wolverhampton Crown Court, Judge Nicholas Webb acknowledged Foxall’s husband had been the driving force in making the VHS tapes, but told her she “fully assisted”. He said: “You may not have done it but for him, but he could not have done it but for you.”

The judge said the couple had offered their victims, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, toys, discos and swimming pools with water slides as incentives to come to their home, which the girls found “almost impossible to resist”.

They were then filmed through a spy hole above a bath and by a camera hidden under a pile of clothes in a bedroom.

Foxall was arrested after videos filmed by her husband were found by police following a fire at their home in July 2008.

During a two-week trial, the former dinner lady and youth club worker denied knowing her husband had made the films.

But Judge Webb said she had committed a “monstrous breach of trust”. He said pornography and sex aids were also left “lying about” for the children to see, and that although the secret films were recorded on to VHS tape and had probably not been distributed, the victims could never be sure the footage would not be circulated on the internet in future.

Banning Foxall from ever working with children and ordering her to sign the sex offenders’ register, Judge Webb sent her to prison for 30 months.
