VENICE, CA – Exactly a month after winning Best Male Newcomer at the AVN Awards, Dane Cross solidified his position as the industry’s top rising star by winning New Male Performer of the Year at the XBIZ Awards last night.

In a year that saw him rise from an alt-porn darling to a serious woodsman with the ability to act (see Not Married With Children XXX, The Office: A XXX Parody and a slew of others).

“This was certainly a goal of mine and I’m very pleased to be honored by XBIZ in this way,” he said last night. “If producers were wondering if I could pull it off, I think now they know.”

This past year he worked for Vivid, New Sensations, Adam & Eve, Penthouse, Wicked and many others.

“I don’t know what my specific goals are for this year,” he said, “but I definitely want to try acting more and I never tire of doing sex scenes.”
