Dave Cummings writes: I attended the 2011 X-Rated Critics Organization (XRCO) Show and Awards a few weeks ago. www.adultcybermart.com/StoryMargoldXRCO.html
It was like a reunion of old friends, many of whom we usually see just once or twice a year. I received the XRCO “Unsung Swordsman” award in 2001, and this year I was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame. It was a fun night, indeed.
The next day I performed in a boy-girl sex scene with 19-year Evilyn Fierce, a sweet, personable, and sexy new model in porn. The following day I was in the all-day shoot of “Screw My Wife, Please, Vol 75”, a series that I’ve been in since Vol 6. As I’ve said so often, I love my job!
Last month was Jury Duty, again. Normally, when assigned to the jury pool for a case and reporting to that courtroom to answer questions that determine whether or not I’ll be seated for the case, either the defense attorney or the prosecution usually excuses me due to being a Retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, or because I’m a porn star.
That never happened when I was sitting on military courts martial cases. After hundreds of us spent the day in the Jury Lounge this year, none of us even had to report for potential jury selection; case loads apparently were light that day.
While waiting for developments in the Jury Lounge and overhearing nearby conversations, the thought occurred to me that as we age and live longer and longer, each generation experiences more of life’s happenings which help us to better contribute to our own lives, and the lives of others. Call it experience, wisdom, or whatever, but I see older folks who are helping others based upon their past situations. I think the aforementioned contributes to American productivity and leadership in the World.
The way the Adult Film Industry is under duress from piracy and other challenges makes me wonder if the surge of females watching porn and visiting adult web sites will result in future releases catering more to women. Possibly, higher production values, seductiveness, story lines and more emphasis on entertainment that just happens to include sex, just might become somewhat more noticeable in the future.
Gonzo porn has been nice, but maybe we will need to ratchet up features porn in order to “tap” into the female consumers.
I saw some comments about a recent report showing that Utah has the highest rate of porn site subscriptions, that nationwide rape has dropped 86% since 1991, and that divorce rates are down 25% since 1991.
It’s interesting that porn releases and adult sites on the Internet flourished in the last 20 years, so those who blame adult entertainment for sexual violence and harmful effects against families might now have to scurry around to invent some other garbage to try and blame on us. I’ve often opined that watching porn helps to cause masturbation, followed by going to bed for the night instead of going out drinking and driving while trying to find a way to have sex—hence, I sense that porn is good for mankind!
Summer is upon us, so remember to use sun block. Also, don’t forget to get checked for signs of pre-skin cancer. While I’m preaching, please don’t drive after drinking. Do I also need to remind us all to practice safe sex? I’m turning into a nag!
As always, remember that sex with other consenting adults (or with oneself) is a natural, normal, and healthy part of life on Earth.
