Porn Valley- Davia Ardell was a recent guest on the Sports Swami Show. Ardell was dancing in Ft. Myers Florida at the time of the interview. Ardell, who came back into the industry last year, had been out of the business for awhile and explained why.

“I had been touring and doing a lot of dancing internationally,” she said. “It wasn’t taking a break from movies. I just didn’t have time. I wasn’t in LA. I was too busy feature dancing. I was booked too much.”

Ardell went on to say how she has fun with her stage work. Ardell never thinks twice about being in front of the camera.

“I know some girls prepare themselves mentally- it’s fun to me,” she said. “I love the camera and I love the stage. It’s just fun.” Ardell has toured over 15 countries and 40 states.

“There was this one club in Milan, Italy, that was pretty crazy,” she recalled. “Usually you do four or five songs. They wanted you to stay on stage like 45 minutes. But it wasn’t staying on stage. You were allowed to go into the crowd and the crowd was allowed, not per se, grab you; but they were allowed to grope you. You did little mini dances in the crowd then go back up on stage then go back into the crowd. That was a pretty crazy club.”

Because she’s about 4′ 11″, Ardell was asked if she got intimidated by working crowds like that. Ardell made it sound like that’s the whole idea. Ardell then drew a comparison between sexuality in Europe vs. America.

“Over in Europe there’s sex on ads and TV- stuff like that,” she said. “I’ve been to Germany, Australia, France, Brazil and stuff- over here in America, the prudes came here to get way from the sexuality in Europe. That’s why over here in America, on our advertisements and TV and stuff like that there is no sex like that. In Europe they have ads on billboards of topless girls, girls making out on TV for juice ads. Sex is just a common thing over in Europe. It’s a lot of fun over there.”

Ardell was asked the major difference between working for companies like Vivid or Hustler as opposed to Internet companies like Bang Bros.

“Working for a major company is a little more stress on the set, I would say,” she answered. “It takes longer because they want to get every aspect they can possibly shoot. Then working for [an Internet company] is more fun. Like a Naughty America. You go in, have fun, they shoot you really quick- you’re just shooting that? Okay, cool. They shoot one way. It’s more amateur-wise but it’s just a lot fast and a lot of fun rather you being on a feature film and you’re sitting there all day, pretty much.”

Ardell has shot a lot of movies since she came back into the industry.

“But you don’t really know the names- I haven’t checked out the AVN’s because I’ve been touring,” she said. “The names change when they’re going to do a movie. You don’t really know the name of a movie until you see it out in AVN or you see it on the stands, something like that.”

It was noted that Ardell appears in a mainstream movie, Devil Girl.

Ardell explained that a guy named Joe Bailey who shoots foot fetish stuff made the movie.

“He called me up and said I want you in this movie,” she continued. “I just got to have you in this movie. He shot me for a lot of foot fetish-stuff for his website. He had few different parts that he wanted me to do. They were also doing a lot of traveling around for it so I wasn’t able to do that. Because they were going to the desert and lot of other places. It was a lot of fun, and he’s a real sweetheart.”

Ardell was asked if this experience gave her the itch to become a mainstream actress.

To that, Ardell said she’s more than happy to sign autographs but isn’t necessarily star struck.

“I look at myself as a regular person where somebody might put me up on a pedestal,” she said. “I’m just your girl next door.”

“I look at you and the girl next door- they don’t look anything like you,” Ardell is told. Ardell has a website called www.daviasdivas.com.

“It’s under construction right now,” she said. “I’m getting a bunch of new photos for it and I’m transferring it over to someone else to deal with it. In the next couple of months it will be up and ready to go. Me and my best friend, Brianna Love who is the Redlight contract girl- we’ve got a few ideas for different filming because we do a lot of traveling. She’ll drive back from LA to Vegas with me and spend some time, and she’ll drive to, like, San Francisco and some places where I feature. I don’t want to spoil the surprise but we have a lot of ideas and stuff like that that we’re going to be filming and putting clips on the website.”

It was assumed from the way she talked that Ardell puts in a lot of time with the site.

“But not as much as I want to,” she said. “But when I have some time and get back to Vegas I’m going to be spending a lot of time getting it together.”

Asked why she doesn’t just spend her full time out in LA instead of commuting back and forth between Vegas, Ardell explains that she was born and raised in Vegas.

“I have family in Vegas- I just can’t leave Vegas,” she noted. “I’ve been around the world and I thought maybe when I toured the world I’d find a different country. I had even thought about going to a different country for a couple of years. Something like that. But I can’t leave Vegas. There’s too much money. There’s so many strip clubs and stuff that have opened up. I just have too many friends in Vegas. But there’s no earthquakes, hurricanes or tornadoes or anything like that. I just feel safe.”

Ardell was asked what prompted her to get into porn.

“I don’t know if you know a porn star named Danielle Cheeks,” she continued. “I was actually a house girl, dancing with a club. She came in to feature.” Ardell said she was about 19 at the time and always watched the girls dance.

“I always found a woman’s body attractive- and she [Cheeks] hit on me. I had never been with a woman. I decide, okay, if I am, I might as well be with a professional. So she ended up taking me home and we ended up fooling around and stuff. We ended up liking each other, dated for a little while and she got me out to California. When she got me out to California I didn’t just jump in. She’d take me on sets with her and I’d start meeting people and seeing what they did and how they did the thing on sets. People started asking her if I worked and what I would do and what were my prices. I was very lucky that I had a woman in the business.”

Especially, said Ardell, when that was ten years ago and there wasn’t the type of representation that there is now.It was noted that Ardell’s doing a lot of MILF movies and she found that amusing.

“The funny thing is when I go on the set the director’s going why did I hire you for this- because you don’t look like a MILF! I’m, like, I have no idea. You’re the one that took my picture and my agent gave me the address and told me what my call time is. Because I think they figure when I get on set I don’t look like my picture or something. because sometimes some girls don’t look like their picture. But they’re, like, you look better than your picture. So they start stressing that I look too young. I’m, like, you hired me for it. I have no idea why you hired me for a MILF movie. So I don’t think I’m going to be doing too much more of that. Not that I’m upset about it. I just think it’s kind of funny because I don’t look like a MILF.”

Ardell said things like that don’t bother her.

“Because some guys are really turned on by it- some guys are turned on by the whole pregnant-thing too. There’s pregnant porn out there and guys really love that pregnant pussy. Guys are into different things and different fetishes. But it really doesn’t bother me because I’m very open minded about that kind of stuff.”

On the subject of romance, Ardell said she’s never been married and doesn’t have kids.

“The reason is because I’ve traveled and toured so much,” she went on to say. You’re in one place for one week and then the next city or next state the next week. So it’s kind of been hard that way. But I look at it- everything’s meant to be and everything happens for a reason. I will find the person or partner I’m supposed to be with in time. And, actually, lately, I’ve been in Las Vegas and I have found the guy I’m dating which is really, really cool. He’s open minded and stuff like that. We’ll see how it goes but I’m not jumping into anything yet. I kind of like my single life.”

According to Ardell, the guy’s not in the business but walks around Caesar’s Palace as one of the Centurion gladiators.

“He kind of lives the life of taking pictures and dressing up in a costume,” she laughed. “He has to pose for pictures and he’s got girls slipping him their number and hanging all over him and stuff like that. It’s pretty funny.”

According to Ardell before she even did her first movie she took her mother aside and told her porn is what she wanted to do.

“Of course anybody’s mom is going to go no, no, no,” she laughed. “But then after I had done my first two movies I bought a house at 19 years old. I told my mom and certain people in the family but now my whole family knows and that’s a little bit of a funny story. How it came out, my aunt’s husband is in the Air Force and he had gotten a hold of a few magazine layouts that I was in and showed them to my grandparents. I had these people calling my mom and asking her questions. And she called me up telling me what happened. It’s not really a big deal any more. They pretty much know and are proud of me in the aspect that I travel the world and do what I want to do. I have my life straight and stuff like that and they know that I’m not all hopped up on drugs and being in an abusive relationship- I’m too headstrong for that. They pretty much agree with it and are cool with it.”

Ardell said when she’s on tour, she’s obviously her character, But when she’s at home and with her three dogs she’s pretty much of a homebody.

“They’re pretty much like my kids,” she conceded. “I feel bad because I travel so much and most of the time I can’t take them with me. I try to spend a lot of time with them and take them to the parks- stuff like that. I like getting out and watching a lot of movies. I’m not really a club person. Because I work so much, I go clubbing when I’m out of state because I already know all the clubs in Vegas.”

Ardell said she’ll continue to be in the business as long as she has her looks.

“You wouldn’t believe- I get carded everywhere I go,” she laughs. “I just laugh and they look at my ID. Nah-eh.”
