Gage had been married twice; the story was exposed a day later. Her first marriage happened when she was just 14. Contestants would have mulled it out as a forced decision of her parents and all that, but what about the second marriage. At 16, she got married again and had her second child.

“To my mother, that was the biggest scandal there could be,” Gage told the Sun. “All my life, she said, ‘Don’t you dare go into the bushes with a boy and get yourself pregnant.’”
