Mike South runs this headline: “DP Not Being Run By Manwin”
Says South: “It has been reported on lesser sites [I assume he means this one, but we don’t make news stories out of stress fractures] that Digital Playground is being run by Manwin. That isn’t correct. The confusion came when Digital Playground enjoined an anti trust suit launched by Manwin against ICM registry over the .XXX domain.”
Today the Wall Street Journal writes: “The lawsuit was filed by Luxembourg-based Manwin Licensing International SARL, which owns a network of websites including YouPorn.com and manages Playboy Enterprises Inc.’s brand on the Web, along with adult filmmaker Digital Playground Inc.”
How does the read to you?
Assuming South is correct, than the WSJ needs a course in remedial writing. The sentence should have read: “The lawsuit was filed by Luxembourg-based Manwin…along with adult filmmaker Digital Playground. Manwin owns a network of websites including YouPorn.com and manages Playboy Inc.’s brand on the web. [Period]
Hence, our headline: “According to CNET and the Wall Street Journal, Manwin Runs Digital Playground”
