In a tradition inspired by Delilah and Sabrina Dawn in the Eighties, Elli Fox and Desi Foxx are the latter daughter-mother duo in porn.

The Foxx’s are from Miami, Florida and moved to Los Angeles two months ago. Elli, who’s 21, said she chose this particular spelling of her name because her mother, who’s 48, wanted to have their porn names look similar.

“We thought it might make it easier on the fans,” she says.

Elli Foxx began her career in November in Florida and in the beginning travelled to Los Angeles one week out of the month.

According to Foxx, she and her mother got in the business about the same time and explains what happened when her mother dropped her off for her first scene.

“The first time I shot we went to Reality Kings and didn’t even know that they’d shoot me that day,” Foxx explains.

“But they needed a girl, so they decided to shoot me that day. So she and my agent – they dropped me off. It was kind of hard because she just had to leave me there and I didn’t know what was going on. And I ended up waiting four hours before we even got started. She was scared.”

As you might expect, Foxx says emotions ran a little high at first. She and her mother fought a little in the beginning because her mother hadn’t started shooting as yet.

“I was talking about scenes and stuff that was going on and she didn’t understand it yet,” says Foxx. “It took her a little time to catch up.”

Prior to coming into the business, Foxx ran a vet’s office grooming shop for dogs and was the manager. Foxx, who loves animals, thought it was a great job.

When the notion hit her that she wanted to get into porn, Foxx waited until she could talk to her mother in person about it. As a kidm Foxx began watching porn from the time she was about ten.

“I didn’t even like it back then,” she recalls. “But I’ve always watched it. I’ve always known it was there. I never thought about getting into the industry. I never thought it would be this easy, or that you just step in and do it, that it would be this much fun. I thought it was like becoming a movie star; it was more difficult than that. So I never considered it.”

When she was 18 Foxx began doing sex chats. She explains that this is basically phone sex, but Foxx didn’t think she was good at it because she’s not a good talker.

“It’s different on the phone when you’re trying to create a sexy scenario,” she says.

By the time she got into the performing end of the business, Foxx was glad she decided to do it.

“I thought it was a lot more dangerous. I thought people were – you’d just have to screw everybody for work. It’s actually a legitimate career. There’s paperwork and everybody’s very nice. I haven’t had any issues. It’s great.”

Foxx and her sister [Foxx also has a half-brother] have always had an open relationship with their mother.

“[So] Getting into this wasn’t hard on that side,” she adds. “Because I was already open, but I didn’t know if my mom would look at me differently.”

According to Foxx, she was able to deal with working in the industry a lot better when she finally realized what she was doing wasn’t wrong.

“And there’s so many other people out there shooting it. And everybody watches it.”

Foxx says her mother’s initial reaction to her career choice was to freak out.

“Because it’s such a life-changing career choice,” Foxx explains. “It affects everything you do after that point on. Everybody knows. There are certain things I’m not able to do now.”

Foxx and her mother talked a long time about her decision, just to be on the safe side.

“She wanted to make sure I went in educated,” says Foxx.

“If most people could tell their parents and tell their family I think it would help them get in and make the right choices.”

Foxx’s sister and brother still don’t know she and her mother are in the business, although they do know they’re now living in Los Angeles. That part Foxx and her mother have told them.

“We meant to tell them when we got in [the industry],” says Foxxx. “But the last time we saw them was over Christmas and we didn’t think the holidays was the best time to tell them.”

Prior to getting into the adult business, Desi Foxx worked in investments. But her “cover” story to the brother and sister is another matter.

“She [Desi] was supposedly working for a lawyer in Miami and supposedly transferred to L.A., so that’s while we’re out here,” Elli Foxx explains.

“My ‘job’ now is that I work in a human beauty salon, doing hair. That’s probably the hardest part, though – having to lie. You don’t want to lie to your family. I’ve never lied to them. It’s weird.”

Foxx explains that once she got into the business and Desi Foxx was convinced that women her age could get work in the MILF market, she decided to give it a try as well.

“I never thought she’d say that!” says Elii who was relieved by her mother’s decision.

“I knew she’d be with me and that it’d be a lot easier because she could understand if she was in it, too,” says Foxx who admits she was a bit shocked when it happened.

“I didn’t think she’d ever be up for anything like that. I knew she was kind of looking into the phone-sex operator stuff at the same time that I was looking into porn. But we didn’t really tell each other we were looking into that stuff, so I didn’t expect it from her.”

Foxx figures she’s been in around 50 scenes so far; her mother’s done about 25.

And Foxx didn’t think the mother-daughter situation was that big of a deal at first, until other people began hammering the point home.

“And then we go to the agent and they’re like ‘Wow, there are no other mother-daughters, you guys are huge, you’re a big deal.’

That’s when Foxx said she and her mother had to put some stipulations and rules into this equation.

“The first offer was that some guy wanted to have us both on the same bed for the normal boy-girl rate each,” Foxx relates. “And we know we’re more special than that; it’s not a normal boy-girl.”

“And we have such a good relationship, we don’t want to ruin that. So we had to set some ground rules and my thought was we can shoot it however we want for our own Web site if nobody wants to follow our rules. We can make a good enough living doing it separately. We figured, you know, make some rules and if somebody wants to deal with us on that aspect then they’ll get their scene.”

One of their rules, according to Foxx, is that she and her mother can have sex with the same guy in the same room, but not on the same piece of furniture.

“We don’t want to be next to each other, we don’t want to see each other at all,” she continues.

“There’s ways of doing things to be comfortable for everybody. But it takes a little time to work it out. Some companies don’t want to listen to you.”

So far the Foxx’s have been in only one scene together.

“It was pretty uncomfortable,” she says. “Like the most uncomfortable porn set I’ve ever been on. There were times where, before we even got to it, where I almost walked out and said, ‘We’re not doing it.’ Because they were taking their time and they weren’t really trying to get us in and out. And I’m like, ‘You know we’ve just got to do this, get it in and out. I don’t want to be here all day thinking about it.’ It was difficult.”

According to Foxx, the company at least made the fact easier and the scene doable.

“It’s not something that I jump for joy at doing,” she adds. “But if somebody cooperates with our terms, then I have no problem doing it. Because it is work, and I realize that you’re not going to have the intimacy and chemistry that you have on a normal porn set. So it’s more like work that day than it is fun. I don’t consider those days as much fun. I like to enjoy the guy by myself.”

Asked the question, Foxx couldn’t recall an instance of her mother ever walking in on her having sex or vice versa.

For her part, Elii Foxx had a lot of sex when she was younger and it was always in relationships

“And I was always careful,” she says. “We always did it when no one was home.”

According to Foxx, after her divorce, her mother never brought guys home, although there was one occasion involving her sister who was home from school and heard her mother in the next room when she had the ex-husband over. Foxx says her sister eventually got married but didn’t want to have the same sexual lifestyle.

“Things changed when she got older.”

According to Foxx she and her mother do discuss their shoots.

“It might get a little juicier sometimes, but we don’t go into that much detail,” she explains.

“It’s almost like dating – if we were to have gone on a date. We come home and tell each other about our date. But instead it was a porn set and we got paid for it (laughs). That’s the only difference.”

Foxx admits that she and her mother being in the business helps get their name out there and that people are more likely to remember them because of it.

Foxx next tells the story about how her mother was on set and a director told her, “Oh, I watched your daughter last night and got off to her.”

Foxx thinks it’s also gratifying to know that she can discuss industry problems with her mother and know it’s not going to get blabbed around.

“You can’t just go and talk to a normal friend in the industry because they’ll tell everybody,” says Foxx. “It’s so hard to find a trusted person in this industry that it’s nice to have her.”

Foxx and her mother moved in together at the time she was 20. They will hang out off camera and perhaps go to a club to dance and have a few drinks.

“It’s hard to find people who agree and want to do the same things we do,” she explains.

“So it’s mostly me and her. We don’t pick up guys. We don’t dance with each other but we dance next to each other. It’s just fun. We don’t do the booty-humpin,’ though, that all the other girls do (laughs). We just have fun with it.”

Foxx describes the one time she got recognized. She was on a date with someone from the industry when another guy came up to her as the restaurant was closing. He asked her if she was in the adult industry and she denied it. She gave him a different name.

“Yeah, it’s kind of creepy,” she says. “Because it’s like, if I say yes, what are you going to want from me?”

“Most girls in the industry date guys and they don’t tell them what they do,” Foxx relates. “I find it hard to lie.”

For now, Foxx says she and her mother have been dating guys from the business.

“It seems a little safer and they do understand. But at the same time it’s hard because they go out and do the same thing you do every day.”

Asked about their future plans, Foxx explains that her mother doesn’t want to be in the business too long.

“Just because it’s hard work and she doesn’t want to be too old and doing it,” she continues. As far as she’s concerned, Foxx said she’ll continue as long as she’s capable.

“I’m still playing the girl-next-door and going on that track right now,” she continues.

Foxx and her mother eventually want to have their own web site and get into fun fetish such as food fights and maybe foot worship.

“We both have pretty nice feet,” she points out.

Otherwise, according to Foxx, she’s still working out her personal sexual issues.

“Sex isn’t as pleasurable for me yet,” she reveals.

“You know, it hits women in their 30s and I’m just not there yet.”

On the other hand, Foxx says her mother will have anal sex if the mood strikes her.

“Me, no that’s not going to happen,” she says.

“I like the younger guys. She’s more into personality and how the guy is. We sometimes go after the same guys but not really because we do like different things. She likes somebody she can talk to and have educated conversations with, and to me it’s a little harder to find.”
