Ethan Cage: We Were Trying to Ruffle Feathers By Bringing Wankus On

Porn Valley- Ethan Cage along with his wife of 12 years, Lexi Lamour, host a Tuesday night show on KSEX. Last week Cage invited the deposed Wankus in for some chat www.adultfyi.com/read.php?ID=23397. Cage’s show was promptly yanked off the air.

“Jon and Joe are the owners- they called us last Wednesday on the Fourth of July and told us to leave the incident behind us and not talk about it,” says Cage. “They said we like you guys and want to keep you on.”

“But you can’t try and censor us,” adds Cage. “So we went on last night and said we felt we didn’t do anything wrong by having Wankus on as a guest. We apologized to Powder for putting him in a bad situation.”

Cage likens this to the Opie & Anthony situation at Sirius where they were assured they wouldn’t be censored but, in effect, were and were suspended.

“They [KSEX management] told us you’re welcome to do your show but don’t talk about what you did last week. So we pretty much just went on and said we were trying to ruffle feathers by bringing Wankus on because we figure controversy makes good radio and we didn’t appreciate them pulling our show off air.

“We posted a forum on KSEX about being pulled off air,” adds Cage. “And they deleted that. It just doesn’t make any sense to me as why. Wankus came on and was a perfect gentleman. He didn’t try and bash KSEX which he could have. And they were just being dicks about it and pulled us off air. They overreacted. KSEX was fun and a family and that’s why everyone enjoyed doing it. Now they’re trying to make it corporate and that’s why people aren’t happy there any more. That’s why we pull the stunts like we do.”

Last week Cage was told don’t try it again. But as of last night didn’t hear anything regarding his latest comments earlier on the air. Cage speculates that could, of course, change.

“When we were told last week not to talk about it, of course, that’s how we opened our show this week, just talking about the fact that we didn’t enjoy being censored and that we didn’t see what we were doing as wrong.

“We’re going to do what we’re going to do,” Cage goes on to say. “It’s supposed to be our show. We’re supposed to provide guests. We don’t have someone at the station that books guests for us. So we deemed something that was appropriate. They didn’t like it.”

“KSEX is something we enjoy doing,” he continues. “It’s fun for us. We enjoy doing our show every week. And if we’re going to ruffle a few feathers here and there, so be it. But I don’t think we should be pulled off air. Honestly, I would understand if Wankus came on going fuck this, fuck that.”

According to Cage, Wankus got to the station about 6:45 last week.

“When we went to break, Powder was on the phone- he said, okay, it’s fine as long as we don’t bash. We said okay. So we all went outside to smoke a cigarette. And Powder came back out and said, ‘They just called back and said pull the show, run a tape.'”

In the time he was on, Wankus was able to thank KSEX.

“He said he liked the new studio and they pulled us off- that’s all he really got to say,” says Cage. “We didn’t get to talk about a lot.”
